I enjoyed the month, what I saw of it. Old friends, these horror stars, going back to my childhood, and seeing them since, on thw screen and in my dreams. Thanks TCM, for October's programming.

Looking over that list, it seems sad that the bulk of his work was in kind of schlocky horror films. He seems to have been a better actor than that.
Apparently, once you've been typecast in the horror genre, it must be hard to break from it. Other really talented actors have had it happen too. (Lugosi, Karloff, etc)

I totally agree. Add Vincent Price.to the list.

Robert Osborne's article on SOTM Christopher Lee may be found here: http://www.tcm.com/t...topher-Lee.html.

Osborne makes special mention of JINNAH (1998), which will make its North American premiere on TCM at 8:00 on October 3.
