It's a such a shocking moment!  Stanwyck is really on fire in this movie

 

Stanwyck and Judith Anderson were both in the MARTHA IVERS movie but did not have scenes together. This time they did and the results were spectacular.

Yes, it's a gem. The scene with the scissors is a memorable one.

I just saw this on the Starz Western channel - what an amazing movie. Acting, script, direction all excellent- and that glorious black and white photography
