This thread is a living memorial to his life and love of movies, which remain with us still.

RKO/Desilu Prop Seen In Citizen Kane

I don't have any idea, but it does have a "manly" look to it so maybe it could be in one of the offices.

I just got back from touring the original series Star Trek stage sets. Fantastic.

 

Captain Kirk's quarters had lots of recognisable props taken from the Desilu Prop Warehouse, formerly the RKO Prop Warehouse.

One familiar bust in particular had the old RKO lot ID number on the bottom-unfortunately we couldn't touch them & I had missed the number when the tour guide held it up.

 

He had said this prop can be seen in CITIZEN KANE. Well, that could be anywhere- in the Enquirer Offices, Zanadu, the room of crates at the end....

 

Susan Alexander's French doll prop is often seen in other films and I've spotted the Wicked Witch's sand hour glass in Kane's basement of crates.

 

Does anyone recognise Captain Kirk's statue and where it might be seen in Citizen Kane?
