Hey, Rosemary.  Loved your singing, bytheway.  The closest I can come to is Ascenseur Pour L'Chafoud, or Elevator to the Gallows (1958), with Jeanne Moreau, directed by Louis Malle.  Here's the TCMDatabase page on it:
