This thread is a living memorial to his life and love of movies, which remain with us still.

Nice selection, CL. Lots of subtle touches in that scene.

It also illustrates the importance of a good score.

Very moving.

The photography must have been difficult, but Gregg Toland captures it perfectly! Its joyous and sad at the time.

Why no thread of "favorite scenes" on a movie forum? Ain't right, dammit.

Here's one I still shout the lines with. Gives me goosebumps every time.
