I'm sure Sophia Loren didn't have shoes on after that dive in Boy On A Dolphin. But I can't confirm it. Wasn't looking at her feet.

I can't believe that this thread has such legs (and feet).

True to a point, but she did show her barefeet when she was human. The scene in the bathtub.

Great list but I have to disagree with one choice;

Daryl Hannah in Splash

That wasn't a foot, that was a fin!

Thank you so much for this thread. I am barefoot now and always am unless out in public where I must wear shoes. I used to have a collection to rival Imelda Marcos but now am down to two pairs of dress heels and moccasins with Southwestern style decorations. The moccasins are what I wear most often. I'm a city girl who went after my Kentucky dad and "went country". Nice to know that I'm not alone. I always did like Ava Gardner, a North Carolina country girl, and thought of *The Barefoot Contessa* first thing when I saw this.

...and according to one version of the story (Grimm Bros?), she also had her stepsisters executed for their cruelty to her. The shoes must have turned her into a biotch. :)

First barefoot woman in a movie I thought of:

Veronica Carlson in the finale of *Dracula Has Risen From The Grave (1968)*, as she follows the Count to his castle.

Cinderella slept on the woodpile, dressed in rags and had to do all the chores while her stepsisters played all day.

Now she lives in a palace, wears beautiful gowns and has an army of servants at her beck and call.

This proves that the right pair of shoes can change your life.

Ha!!!!! ya"all overlooked the first and arguably most famous barefoot beauty "CINDERALLA" Cinders, ran the length of the palace displaying her shapely toes and ankles (never forget the ankles) Making old men swoon and young ones set out in hot pursuit. Ah!!! Cinders never were such shapely digits so gloriously displayed to capture and tread upon a charming prince's heart.

"glorious feet"? You'll have to excuse me, but I'm going to another thread.

The wonderful scene in *A Farewell To Arms* (1932) with Gary Cooper and Alice Adair's feet. Classic.

Brigitte Bardot's glorious feet in *Et Dieu Crea La Femme* are the stuff of legend.

*"This site is devoted to women losing one of their footwear and getting stranded afterwards wearing only one shoe."*

This thread is getting stranger and stranger. :^0

You may find *Droppedit's Shoe Loss Page* interesting. It states: "This site is devoted to women losing one of their footwear and getting stranded afterwards wearing only one shoe." There are many examples from movies and television.
