Kyle Kersten was a true friend of TCM. One of the first and most active participants of the Message Boards, “Kyle in Hollywood” (aka, hlywdkjk) demonstrated a depth of knowledge and largesse of spirit that made him one of the most popular and respected voices in these forums. This thread is a living memorial to his life and love of movies, which remain with us still.

A number of posters having been asking TCM to show the *Blondie and Dagwood* films for years. I know I have. So perfect for week-end mornings on TCM. Really miss those films.

Back in its heyday, AMC showed the Blondie movies on Sunday mornings, which I thought was a great idea. TCM showed the Tarzan movies every Saturday for a while, which is the same idea. I'm not sure who would have the rights to Blondie tied up, because I haven't seen any listings for showings, but TCM would be the perfect home for them.

It's most likely a rights issue. I think they were Columbia productions and even though TCM has had a pretty extensive relationship with Columbia they have never been, as far as I know, included in the package.
