Georgie being an Irishman, Derry seemed to be a good fit.

I'm sure Fred Derry (Dana Andrews) would agree.

Maybe the topic has been grandfathered because of its long, "illustrious" history. ,

In that case, they should keep it in an archived section so we can go back to it and relive old times......

O ye of little faith. You just can't keep a good man with a very

large rear end down.

I still miss spell check.

isn't this just the type of thread that belongs in the new msc. "chit-chat" section??

Ouch. Well you can always come up with some new ones.

Let me give ole GB a bump up to another level with a

quote from his fellow Irishman, Willy Yeats:

Now that my ladder's gone,

I must lie down where all the ladders start,

In the foul rag-and-bone shop of the heart.

Yep. I c & p'd all of them from my yahoo account and never

bothered to delete them, so they're still there. I'll post a few

on an appropriate occasion. Now that's just a statement, not

a threat.

You know, as a young lad in the old country I was

a bit of a scribbler. Nothing special, just some limericks

with a self-deprecating tone. But I also noticed the ladies

liked them too.

The derriere of Georgie Brent
Was almost as extensive as Kent,
Traveling round the shire,
The friction caused fires,
The yeomen were glad when he went.

Very sad, that the George thread "disappeared". But I had a feeling old George wasnt going to make the transition. And almost 100,000 views! All good things must come to an end, I guess. Sorry, George! :(

It's just not the same. Sort of like RETURN TO PEYTON PLACE. If this gets 2,000 posts, I'll be surprised. But I've been wrong many times before.

You could be very right about that. The sequel usually falls short

of the original. Too bad about the timing, because I think the

original was just short of 100,000 views. But GB will try to carry

on regardless.
