Kyle Kersten was a true friend of TCM. One of the first and most active participants of the Message Boards, “Kyle in Hollywood” (aka, hlywdkjk) demonstrated a depth of knowledge and largesse of spirit that made him one of the most popular and respected voices in these forums. This thread is a living memorial to his life and love of movies, which remain with us still.

We’re pleased to announce that the new Classic Film Union is up and running.

You’ll notice many changes: streamlined navigation with improved filtering of content type; simplified design for ease of use and greater visual impact; an easier registration process; greater stability throughout the CFU; extra TLC given to all the features that are used most often—profiles, blogs, groups, and fan contributions. Also, to encourage communication and the exchange of ideas, conversations and commenting can now be seem more widely and by more people.

Please note that you’ll need to re-register to use the new CFU.  If you log in with the same email you used to establish your account initially, you’ll recapture your existing profile (including past posts, imagery, etc.).

You may also need to clear your browser's cache/history if you are not seeing the new CFU when using the links from the message board or tcm.com.

We’ve also created a new “CFU Help” group to answer your questions.  We encourage you to join the “CFU Help” group and to friend the “TCMModerator1” so you’ll receive notifications in your Friends and Groups activity wall concerning common questions, known issues, fixes and improvements.

We believe you’ll be pleased with the changes, and as always we look forward to hearing your thoughts.

--Your friends at TCM
