#3 had a memorable scene in one of the biggest films of the 1940s.

#6 was recently discussed in the "I Just Watched" thread.

Between Shutoo and Lawrence we have most of them.

Here is no. 6 again.

Apparently, having a cigarette dangling out of one's mouth is supposed to make the person look tougher.

Here is another shot of no. 9.

Well, Lavender and Princess certainly know their film noir actresses.  Between them, they got them all.  Good job, ladies!

It seems that there are always many actors and actresses that we see in many classic films, but sometimes their names don't immediately come to mind.  Here are some character actors who were all very active in not only film noir, but in many genres for many years.  How many can you name?

Yes, they all played their share of villains.

Here are some actresses of the 1940's.  Some of them are known for their work in film noir, although they also worked in other genres.  This shouldn't be too difficult for devoted TCM fans.  How many can you name?

Quatre--Et Le dernier est Harry Baur.

Lawrence, thanks for the nod to French Cinema. But I missed my heartthrob
Gérard Philippe.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Princess. I thought you might. I could post several more with guys, and that's not even starting with the ladies!

10. Jacques Tati?

3. Jean Pierre Aumont!

Correct and Correct, Arsan!

I was wrong about the remaining #4. He doesn't have a Criterion set, the set was of one of his directors. But he is one of the many French stars to tackle the role of Jean Valjean.
