Nice going, folks.  We only need #2 and #8.  #2's serial was shown on TCM on Saturdays within the past year or two.  He worked with a young man who once played Gary Cooper as a boy.  The headpiece worn by #8 should give her away.  She was the queen of the serials in the forties.

So far, so good.  There are still six more to identify.  Anyone want to try?

These folks all have something in common.  Can you identify them as well as the common theme?

Correct, Miles, and terrific post. Each pair appeared in a 1950s giant creature sci-fi feature together:

1 & 2 = Them!

3 & 4 = Beginning of the End

5 & 6 = Tarantula

7 & 8 = It Came from Beneath the Sea

9 & 10 = Attack of the Giant Leeches

Your thread, Miles!

What we have here are people who appeared in one or more science fiction movies of the 1950's.  Some appeared in movies for many years, while others had rather short film careers.

I will list them with at least one of their science fiction films.

1.  Onslow Stevens - Them!

2.  Joan Weldon - Them!

3.  Morris Ankrum - Earth vs. The Flying Saucers

4.  Peggy Castle - Beginning Of The End

5.  Nestor Paiva - Creature From The Black Lagoon

6.  Mara Corday - Tarantula, The Giant Claw

7.  Ian Keith - It Came From Beneath The Sea

8.  Faith Domergue - It Came From Beneath The Sea

9.  Gene Roth - Mysterious Island, The Lost Planet

10. Yvette Vickers - Attack Of The Giant Leeches, Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman

Onslow Stevens, Morris Ankrum, Ian Keith, and Gene Roth were in movies for many years.  Ian Keith played over the top actor Vitamin Flintheart in the "Dick Tracy" movies of the forties.  Gene Roth usually played villains in many westerns and other B pictures.  He was either jailed or killed in most of them.  Morris Ankrum often played authority figures.  He played a judge on the Perry Mason TV show on several occasions.  Onslow Stevens played all kinds of roles, but he was often cast as a scientist.  Peggy Castle may be familiar because she was a regular on the "Lawman" TV series.

Correct, Rich. I thought seeing Nelligan and Chandler would make the connection a bit easier to spot.

Rich, you provided the most answers, so the thread is yours.

#2 is Kate Nelligan, #4 is Barbara Shelley, #6 is Veronica Carlson, #8 is Lupita Tovar, #10 is Helen Chandler, all of whom had the bite put on them by Dracula.

You got all of the guys, now time for the gals.

Their shared theme has to do with a "co-star" they have in common.

#5 is basketball star Wilt Chamberlain in "Conan The Destroyer"

#7 is football player John Matuszak in "Caveman"

#9 is wrestler George "The Animal" Steele, who played wrestler Tor Johnson in "Ed Wood"

One of the themes seems to be athletes as actors.

There are two, wildly unconnected themes here. Hopefully these won't prove too difficult.

Very good, everyone!  We have them all now.  Kudos to Lavender for finding the common theme quickly.  I'm sure that helped in solving the rest.  Yes, they were all nominated for supporting acting Oscars, but none of them won. Lavender got five, Lawrence got three, and Shutoo got two.  Lavender doesn't post pictures, so we'll give the thread to Lawrence for the next posting.
