Apparently, I've stumped you so far, so here are some photos of these folks that may be more recognizable:

The woman standing on the far left:

The woman standing in the center:

Here's Peggy Ann Garner:

The man in the center:

He's the boy with the hat on, I think.

The woman on the lower right:

Now do you know them?

The blonde woman is indeed Peggy Ann Garner.  Good work, Rich.

I'll give you some hints about the others:

The woman standing on the left was in a few Disney movies in the late 1940's.

The woman standing in the center was in many movies in the 1930's, including a memorable film with Bing Crosby.

The man in the center was in several youth-oriented Warner Bros. pictures in the 1930's.

The little woman that he is holding was also at Warner Bros. during that same 1930's time period.  She was a multi-talented child.

Here is a photo of five former child stars.  It was taken by Delmar Watson, himself a former child actor.  Can you name the five folks?

If that's a riding crop in this little hand, it's CB DeMille.

That is correct. Thread is open.

Who is this famous guy (he is 8 years old in this photo)?
Stare at his face long enough and you may figure it out.

Could it be that he did some acting, but was better known as a director?  I'm thinking maybe Otto Preminger?

Yes. And no.

I'm still waiting for the initial clue.

This guy goes back a lot farther than Durning.

Yeah, I was joking, although when I stared into his face as instructed, that's who I saw. The outfit clues that it's quite a few years before Durning's youth.

I really have no idea, although I have a suspicion that I've seen that picture before.

I thought it was Charles Durning. I guess not.

Although he did some acting, he is more famous for something else.

Since nobody has gotten no. 1, I'll give it to you.  It's Bobby Breen, the boy soprano from Montreal.  Here is a short clip:

Rich, would you like to post the next one?

His movie career ran from 1936 to 1942.

He was from Canada.  His picture is on the cover of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album, very close to George Harrison.

No, his name is not Peter Blake.

How could I forget the little fellow?  He was a boy soprano whose movie career was rather short.

Yes, It's Gower Champion.  It's kind of difficult to find good photos of him without Marge.  That's one for Lavender, one for Princess, one for Shutoo, and two for Rich.  Rich (scsu1975) gets the thread.
