A more modern example includes Judd Hirsch's character in ORDINARY PEOPLE. 

 

I'm not sure about Jodie Foster's character in THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. Clarice Starling works for the FBI and has a background in psychiatry and criminology. It's been awhile since I've seen the movie and I can't remember if she was technically a psychiatrist.
