Kyle Kersten was a true friend of TCM. One of the first and most active participants of the Message Boards, “Kyle in Hollywood” (aka, hlywdkjk) demonstrated a depth of knowledge and largesse of spirit that made him one of the most popular and respected voices in these forums. This thread is a living memorial to his life and love of movies, which remain with us still.

I was looking at the old schedule information for December 2013, and I came across the In Memoriam programming which I wanted to post here.

Note that TCM had two days set aside for this in 2013. The first day occurred on Sunday December 29th. It was an all-day thing, as the morning paid tribute to Joan Fontaine; and the evening paid tribute to Peter O'Toole. Then on the evening of Monday December 30th, TCM showed one film apiece to honor deceased stars like Deanna Durbin; Annette Funicello; Peter Falk; Jonathan Winters; Karen Black; and Julie Harris
