FBI investigating Jane Sanders for possible fraud: report

Federal investigators are looking into allegations that Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) wife, Jane Sanders, falsified loan documents while she served as the president of Burlington College, according to multiple reports.

The small Vermont liberal arts school closed down in May 2016, after going bankrupt and failing to meet accreditation standards.

The college began to face financial difficulties during Sanders's tenure from 2004 to 2011, falling $10 million into debt when the school purchased a new campus in 2010.

Sanders has been accused of falsifying the information on the loan documents in order to expand the college grounds.

The VTdigger.org reported that some of the donors Sanders appealed to for help with loans are now in contact with the FBI and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Sanders left her leadership role in 2011 for undisclosed reasons.

What were they thinking when they appointed a socialist to run a business? lol. They end up bankrupt.

Sanders said:

"Simultaneously, it’s important that the American people have faith that the process of this investigation is done fairly, objectively and goes where it goes.

But our job right now … is we have got to rally the American people around what is clearly an extremely reactionary, right-wing agenda which is being pushed by the billionaire class. And the essence of that agenda are many hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks going to the top two percent, massive cuts in education, in health care, in environmental protection, in the needs of our senior citizens. …

So two issues: objective investigation, stand up and protect American workers and the middle class. "

"....I find it deeply troubling that this decision comes a day after damning testimony by former acting Attorney General Sally Yates on Russia’s ties to the Trump campaign and just days before Comey was scheduled to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

President Trump has repeatedly taken steps to kill inquiries into Russia’s involvement in the U.S. election. It is clear that whomever President Trump handpicks to lead the FBI will not be able to objectively carry out this investigation. We need an independent investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia....

Bernie Sanders Just Revealed The Real Reason He Skipped Trump’s Korea Briefing-

“The issue of North Korea is enormously important, and we need bipartisan efforts to control North Korea’s very aggressive nuclear efforts,” Sanders said today on MSNBC. “But I do not want to be part of a road show for the White House.”

you need a Democratic Party which is a grassroots party, which makes decisions from the bottom on up, not just from the top on down. In my view, it is not a question of Trump having won the election, it’s a question of Democrats having lost the election. Democrats need a strong progressive agenda which says to the working class of this country, we are going the stand and fight for you, we’re going to raise the minimum wage, pay equity for women, we’re going to rebuild the infrastructure, and we’re going to guarantee health care to all people as a right.....

- Sen. Bernie Sanders

If only there was a Democratic Party that actually wanted those things.

"....So, in my view, the Democrats need to do several things. Number one, Democrats need to become a 50-state party. You can’t have a great party on the West Coast and the East Coast. You need to have a party in all 50 states. That’s not the case right now.

And that’s why I have been running around the country to Republican states to galvanize people to get involved in the political process.

Second of all, you need a Democratic Party which is a grassroots party, which makes decisions from the bottom on up, not just from the top on down.

Sanders said, “Let me be very clear. It is imperative that Jon Ossoff be elected congressman from Georgia’s 6th District and that Democrats take back the U.S. House. I applaud the energy and grassroots activism in Jon’s campaign. His victory would be an important step forward in fighting back against Trump’s reactionary agenda.”

There had been a great deal of controversy created when Sanders seemed to question Ossoff’s progressiveness, “If you run as a Democrat, you’re a Democrat. Some Democrats are progressive and some Democrats are not.” Sanders also said that he didn’t know if Ossoff was a progressive....

-It doesn’t matter if Ossoff meets a progressive litmus test. What matters is that Democrats win the runoff election.

Bernie Sanders’s strange behavior

Bernie Sanders has embarked on a “Come Together and Fight Back” tour with with Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez. But he's not really helping on that first part.

Over the last few days, Sanders's has at times offered some odd comments for a guy pushing for Democratic unity.

To wit:

  •     He said that he still isn't actually a Democrat
  •     He repeated his line that President Trump “did not win the election; the Democrats lost the election” — drawing some angry responses from Hillary Clinton supporters who see this as either a shot at her or as something that Sanders's primary campaign contributed to (or both)
  •     Sanders's message has differed from Perez's in a couple key ways

But the most puzzling development this week is Sanders's decision to keep Georgia special election candidate Jon Ossoff at arms-length. Sanders hasn't endorsed Ossoff, and in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, he seemed to suggest Ossoff's progressive bona fides were in question.

****************************************************************

Next he will be hawking his book to the masses to make himself even richer than he is.

Things are never so bad they can't be made worse.

Sen. Bernie Sanders:

"....it’s easier to get into a war than get out of one. I’m deeply concerned that these strikes could lead to the United States once again being dragged back into the quagmire of long-term military engagement in the Middle East. If the last 15 years have shown anything, it’s that such engagements are disastrous for American security, for the American economy and for the American people.

The Trump administration must explain to the American people exactly what this military escalation in Syria is intended to achieve, and how it fits into the broader goal of a political solution, which is the only way Syria’s devastating civil war ends. Congress has a responsibility to weigh in on these issues. As the Constitution requires, the president must come to Congress to authorize any further use of force against the Assad regime.

Further, the US must work with all parties to reinforce longstanding international norms against the use of chemical weapons, to hold Russia and Syria to the 2013 deal to destroy these weapons and to see that violators are made accountable."

The Sanders Show: Welcome to ‘Bernie TV’-

...Sanders, whose new talk show on Facebook Live is just latest project of a mini-media production house being run out of his Senate office.

Sanders, thanks to his presidential campaign, is a content marketer's dream. In mediaspeak, Sanders is a cross-platform brand with a loyal and unusually engaged audience in the key demographic of 18-34 year olds.....

..... Sanders, whose new talk show on Facebook Live is just latest project of a mini-media production house being run out of his Senate office....

"It gives me an opportunity to speak directly to many millions of people about the work that we're doing about the issues that we consider to be important," Sanders told NBC News....

Lately, those issues have been both what's driving mainstream coverage, like the doomed GOP plan to repeal Obamacare, and more under-the-radar topics, like Trump's pick to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission or plans to reform prescription drug pricing.

Other videos are aimed at inspiring activists or educating them about the basics of perennial issues like corporate tax reform, Medicaid or renewable energy.....

If Bernie had been elected President the stock market would be down 30%, and the anemic economy of the Obama years would seem like heaven by comparison. People do not want Socialist America anymore, it was already tried. Bernie is too old and so are his ideas.

Tell us when it was tried in America?  I don't think you even understand what modern socialism is.
