I asked TCM online regarding the All Night Long movie choice, and someone from TCM replied back to saying they have passed my message to the programmers so will see.

I believe that TCM will be airing an additional Hackman film this night, at 2:00AM following YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. That title is ALL NIGHT LONG (1981), a rarely screened dramedy featuring Hackman and Barbra Streisand. Currently TCM has an unrelated 1963 film of the same name listed on the schedule, but I'm guessing that's just a mix-up.

Yes, I wondered about that...it's not customary for TCM to only air three films on an evening dedicated to a Star of the Month. It must be a mix-up and the 1981 title of the same name will be added later.

I will fix my post when TCM fixes the schedule and I can get a new, more accurate screen shot.

The official schedule information for September has still not been made available by TCM. But we do know Hackman is the honoree, since it had been announced on the Backlot webpage.

As soon as we find out which titles have been selected, I will post them into this thread.

Man - Robert Duvall, Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman

Woman - Jane Fonda...and I can't think of another with enough films from that era to make a month's schedule.

Good guesses. :)

Barton Keyes has told me that he heard our next Star of the Month on TCM will be someone who made classic films in the 70s and 80s. If true, the last time we had such a 'modern' star honored with a month-long tribute was Robert Redford in January 2015.

(I will reveal who it is when the September schedule is officially available online.)
