dems poised to go nuts tomorrow

NYT has reported that Barr has been working "hand-in-glove" with the White House over the contents of the Mueller report. Meanwhile Rosenstein will stand by Barr as he gives a press conference to weigh in on the findings and no doubt give his opinions on the matter. Hmmm ... Isn't this exactly what Rosenstein referred to as to why Comey should be fired? Giving a press conference and offering opinions to the public. If you just take a look at what has been going on which is a total one-sided joke and think for a minute what the reaction would be if the democrats behaved this way the hypocrisy becomes staggering. But it is clear now that Trump and the new GOP care little about hypocrisy. It is largely about trolling liberals now. What a country!

dems poised to go nuts tomorrow

Bill Barr had a reasonably good reputation for his professionalism. Now that he has sold out to a President that he is obviously trying to protect his reputation is getting deservedly shredded. He has brought it upon himself.

    Staying here?

I signed up for this site very late last month. That means, not only did I register for these boards, I signed up for a Backlot membership. I was willing to pay a month's worth for it, but it turned out you could sign up for a free tryout month I have never been able to find out if any San Francisco Bay Area chapter of a physical, putting on get-togethers, Backlot group exists. As you can see above, my inquiry responding to someone else's old post about trying to put together one has gotten no replies. I would tend to assume, now, that there is no Bay Backlot group - and I am not in the position of being able to organize one, I'm sorry. If one exists, I could show up for it and that might be worth a monthly charge, but even if access to this board is only for monthly dues-payers, it's not worth that - And I do tend to assume that this forum would be free, any how, please tell me if that is not so. I eventually got my T-shirt (tho IIRC a size smaller then ordered tho wearable)...I did sign up under the " free month " deal offered by TCM (AT&T) so...I don't wish my debit account to be dinged for a membership with no benefits. So, barring either telling me of a physical Backlot chapter near me, I have no reason to pay monthly, even if that disqualifies me from this forum after this month runs out (And, I do tend to doubt that it would). Who should I contact if this needs to be resolved? Please, somebody, answer me.
  6. We Are All Murderers (1952) by France's Andre Cayette looks at the life of a petty criminal and murderer who is given some legitimacy when he joins the resistance amidst WWII. But his actions become uncontrollable and after the occupation he is arrested and put on death row. The remainder of the film is an indictment of the death penalty and hence the film's title. Not bad but may be too slow for some. It takes a while getting to its point and my wife had given up by that time.
  7. Friday, April 19/20 3:45 a.m. Eyes of a Stranger (1981). I wish I could have heard the pitch for this one. It’s not enough to go up against a serial killer but you have to look after your blind, deaf and mute sister while doing so. With Jennifer Jason Leigh.
  8. ...You saw The Gold Diggers Of Broadway? Congratulations on living well into your 90s or beyond!!!
  9. I don't like to see anybody bulled over their enthusiasm for something, but what Disney has been churning out for the last few years is NOT Star Wars. Star Wars actually WAS the three prequels that Lucas put out at the turn of the century. Granted, it was bad to mediocre Star Wars, but it was connected to the original three from 1977-1983 by characters and philosophy. Disneyfied Star Wars includes some rando female character - Rhea - who just picks up a light sabre and suddenly knows to use it like a black belt when we spent the better part of six years watching Luke Skywalker struggle and fail with both the physical and mental characteristics needed to be a Jedi, the killing off of the original three characters like Star Wars is "The Black Adder", and ,oh, "The Force is Feminine"? Who wrote this stuff anyways? Kirsten "The Future Is Female" Gillibrand? I wouldn't want to see someone bullied for being enthusiastic over artichokes, but that doesn't mean I want to eat one. Oh, and Lorna, I'd pay eighty bucks to watch the supposedly lost "Convention City".
