Thank you very much, one of my faves as a child. Would like to see again.

I agree with you. It is a good movie, and it's one of my earliest recollections of science fiction on film.

The original 1953 version of the movie entitled "INVADERS FROM MARS, was for sure a one of a kind film. When it comes to a well rounded story for a sci-fi movie, it's a real winner! This movie is positively on my top 10 list for one of the best classic sci-fi movies ever presented on the big screen! The story was the kind I found to be unforgettable and the acting was very well enforced. I thought the young boy that starred in this movie did a fantastic job of acting, as a matter of fact. This was one of the earlier stories written that ended as a dream. Which therefore, added even more to the story itself.

It sounds like INVADERS FROM MARS. There were two versions made. One in 1953 and one in 1986. I've never seen the remake, but I thoroughly enjoy the original. Morris Ankrum, Leif Erickson and Milburn Stone are in it. The fence scene comes to mind because the little boy gets suspicious when he sees a barbwire cut on the back of his father's neck. There's another classic scene when the little boy runs up to the "mother brain" type alien that's in a giant jar. He starts pounding on it. Of course, it's all a dream.

I hope that helps,
Gerb

A little boy thinks that his parents are no longer his parents. They have been taken over by an alien life form. I think a space ship crashes behind a fence, maybe. Thanks
