Yes that is the name of the movie. Thanks so much. It's going on my wants/watch for list. Not available on DVD yet. Maybe TCM will show this soon.

Sounds like 1950's NEVER A DULL MOMENT. Don't know if it's on DVD. Gigi Perreau is the other girl.

Does anyone know the name of the movie starring Irene Dunn and Fred MacMurray and a young Natalie Woods and another young actress? Dunn marries Mac Murry and moves to his ranch with her poodle and becomes a mom to the girls. Love to get this as a DVD if it is in print. Can't remember the name. Thanks to all you classic movie fans.

My "Now Playing" guide shows the film right after "Finian's Rainbow" was "Irene."

ok, so this movie was on TCM on St. Patricks day this year, I remember watching it right after Finian's Rainbow. Anyway the plot is about a young redheaded irish (or could've been scottish) girl who is poor and trying to provide for her family. She somehow ends up being hired by a fashionable clothing store and soon becomes their "top" model. Her fist dress that she is suppose to model she takes home and one of her sisters acidentally spills soup on it, so she wears her Mother's dress in place of the dress. The main thing I remember about the movie is that it's black and white at the beginning, but it turns to color when she decends the stair case at a party promoting "the dress" (which is actually her mother's dress) the dress is a hit. That's all I can think of without getting you all mixed up.
I'd really love to watch this again and I thought it was a really cute movie ;) it may have been a musical, but I can't remember. I know it was romantic and it was VERY funny!
