Donovan was inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame for 2012. It took 'em awhile and he certainly belongs.

Hi Wendy,

A sad day in rock and roll. Dick Clark has died. I know I'm getting old when I see more and more of my memories pass away. May he RIP.

Also, Levon Helm is battling cancer. I certainly hope he can beat it. My prayers are with him and I've gotta clip on it.

The reason I posted a couple of Rod Stewart clips is that he was inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame for the second time with Faces. I believe the lead guitar is Ron Wood who was with Rod and Faces.

And last but not least, Donovan was inducted into the Fame too. Long, long overdue.

Your husband has very good taste if he likes Zep. One of the best. Some think the best.

Hope all is well.

Jake

I like the early Rod stuff much better, he's got that gritty voice, and some of the intro guitar work sounds like a more complex George Harrison... is it Jeff Beck at this point in Rod's career?

My husband is a huge Led Z fan.

That song always makes me happy, though I am not a particular Rod Stewart fan.

Neither am I EXCEPT for his earlier works. I really like the hard driving, gritty and earthiness of his music at that time. After that, he bowed to commercialism and made a big buck. That's OK with me, though.

That song always makes me happy, though I am not a particular Rod Stewart fan. It brings me back to a time when my friends and I were all dancing around the living room like crazy to this song, thinking Rod was singing, "Every picture tells a story, donut" so we would scream donut every time the line came up. Lots of laughter.

Good times, good times. :D

You are right. The Bee Gees are and were an unforgettable group of highly talented muscians. My prayers to Robin Gibb and I will always remember the music he and his fellow members presented to all of us.

Sorry to go off topic - but just wanted to send prayers for Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees - who is gravely ill. Barry Gibb is the oldest brother who has lost his youngest brother Andy at only 30 years old and Maurice back in 2003 and now Robin is not doing well. The Bee Gees were one of the greatest groups in my opinion. Also, their youngest brother Andy was a phenomenal talent and hearthrob back in 1977 and made some wonderful songs.....he was also one of the sweetest, cutest, most handsome guys I've seen....such a pity to lose him so young. Prayers to the Gibb family.

Perhaps someone can post some links to Bee Gees and also Andy Gibb music. Thanks.
