Heads Up!!! TCM is saluting Hal Roach every Wednesday in January: Highlights are 33 Silent Our Gangs, all 6 Harry Langdon Roach shorts, 13 Charley Chase shorts half of which have yet to air, all 40 Laurel & Hardy sound shorts along with most of their features, 6 Taxi Boys shorts, most of which I believe have yet to air and much, much more!!! Thank you TCM!!! This is truly a holiday gift from heaven!!!

    Thelma Todd Day

Thelma Todd Day was great!!! Thank you TCM. Dollar Dizzy and Hi C's were nice surprises. My only suggestion would have been that instead of showing the Joe E Brown features, Horse Feathers, Monkey Business and Bohemian Girl (Thelma only had a quick cameo) because they've aired some many times lately, would have been to show more shorts like Love Fever with the Boyfriends, a Harry Langdon or two, the other 3 Chase shorts and more Pitts/Kelly. But all in all this was a real gift from TCM!!!

    Hal Roach shorts on TCM

The TV movie on Thelma Todd starring Loni Anderson was a travesity. Don't waste your time or money. It was based on a book that didn't have one word of truth in it.

On closer examination, these won't be out until summer and fall. On well. I've waited this long.....

They look great, but are these German sets with another region code and how would you go about ordering them?

    Between Two Worlds black out??!!

Apparently, it must have been my cable company. This is the 3rd time I've missed my chance on this film. Can't win.

    Between Two Worlds black out??!!

Just great!! God knows when and if this'll air again......
  14. Did anyone else notice a black out signal about 18 minutes in on today's showing of Between Two Worlds? I've been waiting for this film to air again because I missed it last time and I get a several minute blackout!!!

Bad Girls of Film Noir Vol. 1 and 2 DVD boxsets

Finally watched Vol 1 and while I'm thrilled to finally have these films, the only true noir was Two of a Kind and did enjoy that one. I would definitely recommend Vol 2 over Vol 1 hands down. Hopefully more of these volumes will follow, especially if they're with Cleo Moore!
