Looking for a copy on DVD of The Single Standard

Hello! I am looking for a DVD-R copy of The Single Standard. I was recording it onto a DVD-R when my DVD recorder suddenly died; and TCM doesn't seem to be showing this film again anytime soon. Naturally, I am willing to pay for a copy. Please contact me if you can help. Thank you, Matt smatthew66@gmail.com

  9. Hello--I hope everyone is well. I recently made a copy of Bubbles off TCM. Bubbles is a Vitaphone short from 1930. Unfortunately, however, my copy is cut off before the end of the roughly eight minute short film. Can anyone please help me with a copy of this? We can trade movies if you wish. The short film aired October 9th in the early morning at about 6:10 AM eastern time even though it was scheduled to be aired at a slightly different time--that's why my copy is cut off. I don't have the ending. I hope someone can help me--thanks in advance! I have plenty of movies to trade for with several of my movies being quite rare. Take care, Matthew Sherwin PS: If you can help, please email me at nynavelman@yahoo.com. Thanks again.
  10. Hello, everyone! I hope you are well. You may remember me as the guy who started a long thread about how more pre-code films really should be shown on TCM. I have a request, please. I am searching for two short films with a very young Judy Garland in them. The names of the films are The Big Revue (1929, 8 minutes) and A Holiday In Storyland (Vitaphone Short from 1930, 10 minutes). If anyone can help me I will be happy to give them a few bucks or copies of movies I have on DVD-R in exchange for these two shorts. I also have many Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft CD-Rs as well as DVD-Rs with hard to find, rare footage on them if you're a fan as I am. Thank you, everyone! Best regards, Matt in Brewster, New York nynavelman@yahoo.com

Seeking copy of Hollywood Revuew of 1929

I can't thank you all and TCM enough for helping to get The Hollywood Revue of 1929 back on the air in August! We need to band together and cast our votes in groups and large numbers for early talkies and pre-Code musicals as well. Take care, Matt (I'm the guy who started this thread way back when!!!)

Seeking copy of Hollywood Revuew of 1929

Thanks for your reply--I truly appreciate it. What do you think about Thelma's idea of a "roaring 20s" month on TCM? I think it's a great idea! Take care and thanks again, Matt Sherwin

I cannot thank you enough for being in my corner! YES, they should do a "roaring 20s" month. I will take your advice and ask for it to be shown as well. Thanks to you and the other person who also was kind enough to reply to my inital post in this thread. Take care, Matt Sherwin
  15. HELP! I am seeking a copy of Hollywood Revue of 1929. I know that TCM shows it--but very, very rarely. If anyone can make me a copy that I can buy from them (or we can trade movies), please contact me at matthew.sherwin@yahoo.com. Thank you, Matt Sherwin matthew.sherwin@yahoo.com
