a funny idea a jester....

I think I would consider The Court Jester as a good romantic comedy. This is truely a very funny movie. "The pellet with the poison's in the vestle with the pestle and the chalice with the palace has the brew that is true!" So funny. I love the scene where maid Jean and the soon to be Giacomo (Hawkins) are in the stable with the baby. That loo loo loo song gets me all teary eyed for some reason every time I watch it. And the part when danny...I mean hawkins/giacomo is dressed up like an old man and he's telling Jean that he's not used to seeing her as a woman sir...haha! I love it. "Don't you think it would look better if a woman were doing this?" "And Hawkins, get out of my clothes!" a funny idea a jester.....

The Pirate (1948)

I love the pirate! It's so goofy...I love the part when Macoco yells at everyone to leave the room in a panic and they don't budge, but when Serafin calmly says it they get scared and rush out....so funny.

"Cool Hand Luke" director passed away

That really is a shame....I'm sorry cinemascope. He's in a better place now. He's probably up there somewhere with all those hamsters I used to have when I was short..er. I'm sure he's having a swell time up in the big blue yonder....(sigh)

"Cool Hand Luke" director passed away

This is such depressing news...I'm sorry, did he just pass away this morning? Cool Hand Luke is one of my favorite Paul Newman movies. That's a real shame, but hey! Think of all the really great things he did while he was alive! He probably died happy knowing that he contributed to some really great movies...cool hand Luke is really the only one I know of, but he will always be remembered for his stupendous achievement in this world!...and the next too! I give my regards to his biggest fan.

Who Likes Danny Kaye?

I must say that Danny Kaye is definitely one of the most talented comedians/actors I've ever seen. He's an absolute wonder man!
7. Everyone's seen singin' in the rain at least once before in their life. After the movie you've sang the song (singin' in the rain)...has it every actually rained after you sing the song? I've watched it a couple weeks ago and on and off I would sing that wonderful tune and later on it would start raining! Ladies and Gentlemen, I do believe that that song is magic! It's gotta be movie magic or something because it's changin the weather....I know I'm not going crazy here....Where's Gene when I need him.

Rio Rita (1942)

I think it's funny how the "mexicans" in this movie aren't the least bit....um....mexican. I watched this movie for the first time today and I found it very amusing.

Father Goose-very funny

One of the funniest movies, in my opinion, is Father Goose. I've loved that movie since I was in diapers. Harry was my favorite. "The name's Harry!" and the whole scene with the "snake" and when Mr. Ecland gets Goody two-shoes drunk so that she wouldn't feel any pain and at least she'll be happy when she dies. It's just an all around great movie.

Father Goose-very funny

This it truly a fabulous movie...one of my favorite parts in this movie is when that silly girl has a crush on Cary and she says something like, "you can kiss me now if you want" and then Cary scares her away pretending to sweep her off her feet....funny...huh, silly girl. This movie is very amusing.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

may I ask who's in around the world in 80 days? I've seen the goofy modern version with jackie chan and them but not the one from the 50's of which you speak.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

That's strange. I swore up and down that it was her, but I guess it was my imagination. Thank you for that bit of info. I kinda thought I was wrong anyways because it seemed out of character for Katherine to be in this movie. But again, thank you for helping me out. kt

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

no I still haven't seen that movie. Isn't it more of a documentary about gene kelly? or at least that's what I've heard...or I think I've heard that, but no, I'm still waiting around to see that one.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

ogm! happy gene kelly month everybody! It's finally here and I've just realized it thanks to jolieParee so thank you jolie paree! I love that scene too! It's one of the most sarcastice movies I've ever watched too. Like the beginning when gene's telling the story of his and donalds success...funny

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

oh, one more thing...is it just me or does Katherine Hepburn pop up in the crowd of people in the beginning when gene comes out with Donald....good times. Maybe it's just my imagination getting the better of me. she would be the fan that faints in the crowd.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

I'll just say it again because it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside...this movie really is one of the best movies ever. I love Donald! He's the best!...and he's handsome! and the best! and I love him! even my guinea pig agrees with me on that one. He's squeaking like mad right now!

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

WE LOVE EVERYBODY! This is truly one of the best movies ever made! Everybody who's anybody is in this wonderful film!...besides Humphrey and jimmy....and so on....They're definitely somebodys too.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

I like that whole scene. I just thought it was meaningful in more ways than just to fit gene's solo dancing scene in. It made me want to flip a coin several times over...and after watching donald...wooo.....I've wanted to take tap dancing lessons.....ooo donald....nice..

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

and man he sure does seem to like himself doesn't he....I still love gene kelly because he's entertaining. I'm still very much in love with Donald though. I love people who make me laugh and maybe it's just me but gene does make some smart-**** remarks in some of his movies, but he doesn't put as much feeling in his humor as Donald...I mean, well...he is a comedian anyways...but still..maybe it's just me.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

wow! If I ever met Donald I would probably make some really obnoxious high pitched squeaking noise and that would be the part where he gives me a weird look and walk away, but I would be excited even if he just left me with the weird look. That's really awesome johnm! But if I had a chance to meet Fred Astaire I would die. My life would have been complete from that moment on.......wow....(dreaming)...

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

It's terrible thinking that Gene made everything so awful for them. They looked so happy on screen I thought it would've been alot of fun doing the movie....but looks can definitely be deceiving....that's why they're called actors right....but yeah, that's slightly disappointing. Donald and Debby seemed like really nice people to me even off screen and for Gene to be so cruel to them like that makes me sad. I knew he had a big ego, but that's just a shame how he was to everybody.

singin' in the rain- hollywood magic?

I don't really know....The only part that I always thought was a little...well, wasn't exactly in unison was the moses supposes part when donald and gene are dancing on the table and chairs...gene just didn't seem as sure as Donald when he was jumping off furnature, not that I wouldn't either, but I can see your thinking their misunderstandings off set may have set the movie a tad bit off balance. p.s. I'm sorry johnm 001 if I offended you, that was not at all my intention. I always wanted to be in a musical....instead my mother made me play in the pit.
