I wasn't trying to insult you. I'm sure you have much knowledge. I was really just speaking in general terms. Sorry. I guess I'm just too old, old school. I really find it amazing that we have access to so much info. One thing I like about Hitchcock is how he can carry out an entire, interesting movie in one set.

That's cheating. Doesn't anyone just KNOW things anymore? I was reading an article the other day about how people don't read anymore and depend more and more on computers and video games for information.

Yeah, he's known for a cameo in each of his films. Does anyone remember his cameo in Psycho?

Another of my favorites is Strangers on a Train. There was a Law and Order episode that was based on that movie. One sister-in-law was trying to get the other one to kill each other's husbands and she gave her that movie to watch.

He only opened the patio door to make it look that way.

Exactly, that's why it's so good to me because you aren't sitting there half-way through the movie able to figure out the ending the way we can so many films now.

I saw that "Rear Window" is on today and it reminded me of all my favorite Hitchcock films. What is every-one's favorite and why? You can have more that one, I do. We can do least favorite also. OK, nobody wants to start the reply. I'll do it. Rear Window is one of my favorites because of the suspense factor. Mostly when Grace Kelly goes to Raymond Burr's apartment and gets caught by him. Jimmy Stewart is so helpless and desperate...very suspenseful. Another of my all time favorites is Dial M for Murder. This one I like for the detail in the script, the little things that Bob Cummings notices and puts together, the detail of the keys...very well thought through. These things are missing in so many of today's mystery or suspense movies. Does anyone agree or disagree? Bettie Message was edited by: bettie.page
