    "Phantasm II" DVD

'Phantasm II' is finally being released on DVD Tuesday, September 15. It's the last of the (to date) 4 'Phantasm' films to make it to DVD.

Sorry for the delay. "Teenage Hoodlums From Another World On A Horrendous Ray-Gun Rampage!"
  4. I love 'The Ascent.' I have not seen 'The Naked and the Dead,' but I did try reading the book once but only made it through a couple of pages. And I love to read (if that tells you anything).

Along the same lines: "Centuries of passion pent up in his savage heart!" (1954)

If I recall correctly, he was the second most decorated combat veteran of WWII after Audie Murphy.

    Question about a movie

I don't think you're missing anything. I love 'How Green Was My Valley,' but there are plenty of supposedly unimpeachable 'classics' I find boring and unwatchable, too.

Films you consider great horror classics

'Black Sunday (AKA - The Mask Of Satan)' 'Frankenstein' 'Bride Of Frankenstein' 'The Haunting' 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2' 'Night of the Living Dead' 'Dawn of the Dead' 'Day of the Dead' 'The Exorcist' 'The Funhouse' 'Halloween'
  15. 'Touch of Evil' was relegated to the bottom half of double bills by Universal upon its initial release. Also, 'Zardoz,' with Sean Connery, directed by John Boorman. Also: 'Sorcerer' 'Repo Man' 'Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eighth Dimension'
