Factory on its schedule for the horror films in its Roger Corman?s Cult Classics disc line this year. The fright features follow ROCK ?N? ROLL HIGH SCHOOL, arriving May 4 on DVD and May 11 on Blu-ray, and DEATH RACE 2000, coming June 22 in both formats. The biggest news is that THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE COLLECTION, packing all three of the driller-killer flicks and copious special features onto a two-disc set, has been given a street date of October 5. Supplement director Jason Paul Collum gave us a preview of what he?s working on for the package on our old newsblog here. The same day will see the release of a double feature of THE EVIL and TWICE DEAD; however, ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS/NOT OF THIS EARTH (1957) and UP FROM THE DEPTHS/DEMON OF PARADISE, previously set for July 20 and August 3 respectively, are now undated. The 1987 NOT OF THIS EARTH, with Traci Lords, and TIME WALKER/DEAD SPACE have been shifted from September 28 to November 2. Still set for July 20 are GALAXY OF TERROR and FORBIDDEN WORLD, the latter of which will be a two-DVD set with both the theatrical and director?s cuts; look for more details on these soon. NIGHTWING Comes To Sony's DVD-R Program

Because then you'd have these little, hairy Republicans flying around on bat wings sucking blood from the populace, not that it would much of a stretch from our current predicament . . .
  5. Here's the article at Fango, and the link: http://www.fangoria.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=525:new-horror-express-a-house-that-dripped-blood-discs-coming&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=167 It?s been a good couple of days for fans of British horror on disc. On top of the Synapse/Hammer and HORROR HOSPITAL news we reported here and here comes the scoop that the Amicus omnibus classic THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD and the Spanish/UK co-production HORROR EXPRESS (pictured left) are also coming on new special editions. Severin Films will issue the movies this fall with fresh hi-def transfers on new DVDs and, for the first time, on Blu-ray. The films will be accompanied by a host of supplements, details of which are coming soon. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee star in both flicks; HOUSE, also featuring Ingrid Pitt (pictured right), Denholm Elliott, Jon Pertwee and Joss Ackland, is an anthology of four short chillers scripted by PSYCHO?s Robert Bloch, while EXPRESS, co-starring Telly Savalas, is about a brain-sucking monster loose on a Trans-Siberian train excursion. Stay tuned for updates! Edited by: SWF on Apr 13, 2010 12:19 PM Edited by: SWF on Apr 13, 2010 12:20 PM
  6. Quote (That's two of us. In my case I'm not a fan of much of the Amicus product aside fromTHE SKULL.) Really?! Not even Doctor Terror's House Of Horrors?! I'm still pining for that release. Image's Horror Express wasn't anamorphic, but I wouldn't worry Severin's version will be all gussied up for our new fangled TV sets. I still miss my Sony Tronitron Tube TV; it bit the dust this past December when my cat got up on it and puked into the grating and shorted it out.
  7. The rumor I've been hearing is that they're supposed to look ten times better than their overseas counterparts.
  8. Seriously looking forward to acquiring TWINS OF EVIL and VAMPIRE CIRCUS!
  9. Cast Filmographies of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, that's it. I'm looking forward to this upgrade simply because Image's DVD isn't formated for HD TVs. That's become important to me now since I upgraded to one this past December. Never was a fan of The House That Dripped Blood; now, had that second announced flick been Doctor Terror's House Of Horrors, or an upgrade of Image's The Blood Beast Terror, then, yes, I'd be excited for both. As it stands now, I'll just be buying Horror Express. To date, the Image DVD is the best version you'll find of Horror Express. I'm still trying to decide what to do with it if they don't reproduce all that info they included on the cover's foldout. Edited by: SWF on Apr 15, 2010 7:05 PM

    Shout Factory attacks Roger Corman

Upon learning this a few days ago, I was curious as to whether they have access to two particular flicks a lot of us have been waiting to see on "official" DVD, and that's GALAXY OF TERROR and FORBIDDEN WORLD, so I emailed them. Here's my email, and their response, which sounds incredibly promising: *I just learned you're releasing some Roger Corman Cult Classics, does this mean you have access to FORBIDDEN WORLD & GALAXY OF TERROR? They would make a great double feature, if you do.* *Thank you for being a fan! As it happens we do have access to those films, and while I cannot as yet tell you when or how they will be released, you can expect them in 2010.* *Sincerely, Shout Factory*
  14. I'm looking for an UNCUT version, and I've recently learned there are several DVDs of this movie floating around in the marketplace, does anybody know which one of these has the complete version? I know the Midnite Movies version doesn't, because that's the one I have. Edited by: SWF on Nov 18, 2009 3:49 PM
  15. Already did a google search. I think it goes without saying that I did a google search before posting. Anyway, I already have an idea which one to get a hold of. Problem solved.
  16. Believe it, or not, I actually found some Midnite Movies at Wal-Mart, in the $5.00 bin of all places! I bought THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT/THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT and the STRANGE INVADERS/INVADERS FROM MARS (remake), double features. The former I planned on buying from OLDIES, the latter, I only owned the single disc version of STRANGE INVADERS, I also planned on buying from OLDIES. What an incredible find! Do all of you know about the ongoing plight of the Midnight Movies? If you don't, check out this link: http://www.dvddrive-in.com/reviews/i-m/midnitecampaign09.htm Edited by: SWF on Nov 17, 2009 6:35 PM Edited by: SWF on Nov 17, 2009 6:36 PM

Kingdom of the Spiders - A William Shatner classic

I agree, excellent flick. I plan to order this one, too. It's about time they finally put this film back into it's proper panavision aspect ratio. I still own that Goodtimes fullscreen DVD, which I bought when it first came out.
