    Movie Stars AKA

Movie Stars have stage names, married names and nicknames. How many can you remember? For example: Norma Jean Baker is:? Marilyn Monroe After you respond with the Movie Star name, give a new AKA name. Let's start with: ROY FITZGERALD
  3. Hollywood movies are full of hero and heroine worship--for real people and legends. Give the famous name and answer with the actress or actor and the movie. Use the date if you want. Example: Scarlett O'Hara--Vivien Leigh, *GWTW*, 1939 1st up: Joan of Arc
  4. Sometimes I wonder if we would have had Hollywood without are friends the Brits. Never have so few, done so much for so many! Can you imagine Classic Films without Hitchcock and Cary Grant, or James Whale and Boris Karloff? And who could measure the contributions of character artists like Una O'Connor, Charles Laughton, Basil Rathbone, Claude Rains or Gladys Cooper. This thread is devoted to British Cinematic artists in front of and behind the Camera. First up-- This British actress was born in Asia and gained wide-spread recognition in the 1960's. She co-starred with A-list American & British films stars. Her most successful film of that decade garnered 2 Oscar nominations and 1 win. Actress and greatest film success--
  5. Since the early talkies, Hollywood has been getting its talent from "The Great White Way". And not just talent but shows as well. For example, This Broadway Song & Dance Man scored many triumphs on stage in the '20's and '30's. He also starred in several plays. But when he came to Hollywood, he wasn't singing and dancing Cole Porter. He became a big star in eccentric parts for eccentric, erudite gentlemen of ascerbic wit and sophistication. Caveat: He was more of a ladies' escort, than a ladies man. Name the Broadway star who became a Hollywood Movie Star--

    My Buddy

This is easy--you name a star and someone can find her/his buddy: i.e. they were friends, relatives, companions, escorts, hunting/sports fiends, dancers anything under the sun in their private life--but not necessarily of a romantic nature. James Stewart &__________________?
