  1. Go to Type in: "Wizard of Oz". On the right side of the screen will be images and a synopsis of the movie. Click on the ruby slippers. Then click on the tornado. I do not know how long this display will remain active. It is possible it is to celebrate some anniversary of the movie.

Movies That It Sometimes Feels That Only You Alone Like?

It is my understanding that the props were an odd mixture of computers which were being manufactured and sold at the time, knobs and switches cannibalized from old computers stuck on boxes and frames made by the prop department and that the studio's actual accounting computer was the centerpiece. It would not surprise me that TRS hardware and software made it into the mix.

It makes me very happy that you liked Kondom des Grauens (1969). I find it very worrisome to recommend movies which are quirky because it is nearly by definition that not all people will like them since universal appeal instantly transfers them 'unconventional' to 'mainstream'.

Movies That It Sometimes Feels That Only You Alone Like?

The ones which immediately come to my mind: Caveman (1981) The Lounge People (1992) The Invisible Woman (1940) The Grapes of Death (1978) Just Tell Me What You Want (1980) Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) Kondom des Grauens (1996) The Nude Vampire (1970) I believe that the situation may be that other people do truly like them but will never admit watching such things.
  5. I read once of a man who was found dead in his apartment after many years. He was sitting in front of his television which was still on. He had been so thin that his body mummified. I remember it well because he was discovered when they attempted to evict him. He was a retired civil servant and his pension was deposited directly into his bank account and his rent and utilities were paid automatically from that account. The rent and cost of utilities rose more over the years than his pension did and so there was eventually a shortfall. His government pension was inadequate to sustain him even although he bought no groceries or clothes or had any other expenses.
  6. The recipe for the mummy shown is at: This calls for one and three-quarter pounds of ground beef to make one mummy. A similar recipe for four smaller mummies from one pound of ground beef is at:
  7. I am sorry to say that I had no contact with him other than this forum and one other and so can provide no personal information. The last post of his which I saw was in November, 2017 in which he lamented the difficulty in posting due to Parkinson's.
  8. Air is a mixture of chemicals. The scent of flowers are chemicals. All that you eat and drink are chemicals. Good vape juice is made of chemicals approved by the FDA for human consumption because they do little or no harm.
  9. I occasionally vape a cherry-menthol blend which I mix because I could not find a pre-made one from a reputable dealer with the balance of flavors which I prefer. A decent rule-of-thumb for accessing vape is the volume exhaled. The good ones used in a proper device are similar to breaths on a frosty day. Great clouds are produced only with improper devices and/or cheap mixtures.
  10. That was quite likely the cheap stuff which is quite bad for you. The good juices use flavorings which are not as aromatic.
  11. It was common in my youth to carry two packs of cigarettes of different brands. The good ones were the ones which you smoked and the cheap ones were for those who bummed. I am completely convinced that I knew people who were two-pack-a-day smokers who never purchased a single cigarette in their life. Vaping ranges from being much better than smoking cigarettes to being much worse. The difference is in the quality of the 'juice'. The good ones have the same base as many asthma inhalers and the flavors are all FDA-approved in both type and purity. The bad ones are industrial-quality carriers and they often rely on flavorings which are inexpensive because the batch was rejected from food and odorant streams due to impurities. The latter will often include materials which Glade would not use in air fresheners. The main attractions of vaping are that one does not have to consume an entire cigarette when only one or two puffs are wanted and there are several thousands of chemicals in tobacco that are not present in good vaping juice.

    Cinemability: The Art of Inclusion

It would have been nice if they had included: Even Dwarfs Started Small (1970) as it combines both mental and physical differences. It is of dwarfs in an institution. They rebel but do not try to escape because they know that they would not be institutionalized if there was a place for them in the world. I believe that the best description of the movie is contained in one of the reviews for it on "This film isn't just depraved and misanthropic, it's depraved and misanthropic with heart." - Food

    I Just Watched...

Eureka (2006-2012) This is a warm little science fiction series which I feel is accessible to even those people who do not usually watch science fiction. The focus is very much on interpersonal relationships. There is technobabble but what the viewer might be expected to understand vis-à-vis the 'science' is presented in such basic form that it is perfectly reasonable that the non-scientific, non-genius main character is able to make suggestions which lead to the solution of the problem. A U.S. Marshall is escorting a young female prisoner when they become lost during a storm and have an accident. They walk to the nearest town for help. What they find is not a typical Pacific Northwest hamlet. Spoilers: The primary reveals of the premiere episode are that the Marshall is separated from his wife, the prisoner is the Marshall's runaway daughter, the town is a super-secret think tank for scientific research funded by the Department of Defense, the idea that there is a line between genius and insanity is a myth, and an ex-special forces female deputy sheriff in a town full of geeks has trouble dating. The first three seasons are a marvel as relationships develop. I am sad to say that the first half of the fourth season loses all sense of ingenuity as science fiction and the personal issues become ineffective melodrama. The second half of that season and the fifth season scrape to regain the lost momentum but are only partially successful. I hope that those who generally do not like science fiction watch the first episode because it has a wider appeal than its genre connotes.

I am sorry to say that roller derby and disco do not seem to me to be an ideal mix. I believe that miniature golf would be a much better match.
