    Healthcare in America?

Powerful conservative groups line up against House GOP health plan Heritage calls it 'bad policy.' FreedomWorks pans it as 'Obamacare-lite.' And the Club for Growth called it a 'warmed-over substitute for government-run health care.'

    Barack Obama's Legacy of Ashes

Trump beats Obama and Bush in race to the golf course President Barack Obama made it four months into his presidency before his first golf outing as commander in chief. George W. Bush made it even longer, first hitting the links as president about 5 ½ months into his first term. Donald Trump made it two weeks before heading to the golf course.

    Trump's Biggest Whoppers

Trump at The New York Times: --He reinforced his position on not assigning a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton --He publicly disavowed the “alt-right” movement in broad terms --He allowed that some climate change could likely be tied to human activity --He called The Times "a great, great American jewel - a world jewel."

Bogie in "Deadline USA," the best newspaper movie ever made, IMHO. I spent 30-some years in the newspaper business before being forced by closures and layoffs into five years of marketing/communications contract jobs. Then just this year I somehow managed to get back on part-time at a newspaper, a gig I hope to keep going until I retire in two years.

Every time the Olympics come around, I give thanks that I live close enough to Canada that Comcast includes the CBC in its channel packages, thereby allowing me to ignore the horrid Comcast/NBC Olympics "coverage." I see a lot of Canadian athletes this way, of course, and I root for all of them.

Clinton ate at one of our favorite Tucson restaurants, Mi Nidito, in 1999. What he had that day is still on the menu as the "President's Plate": Bean Tostada, Birria Taco, Chile Relleno, Chicken Enchilada and Beef Tamale ......................

    Clever TV show title...

So, do ANY of our Canadian members watch the show I refer to? Or, HAVE seen it? We're not Canadian, we're in the Seattle area, and we've been watching it avidly since it started. Levy is a genius, and it has Chris Elliot as well. Our favorite Canadian series since "Little Mosque on the Prairie."
