    Not on DVD...

Agree with you 100%. I hate it how even movies that are about slavery are considered racist. I think America need these kind of movies, so we can remember those mistakes in our past, and so we don't repeat them. I totally agree it should be sold in the U.S., after all, it is called SONG OF THE SOUTH. I think your right about them be viewed to see if their good for the kids.

Thanks for the info. I'll remember that. Oh, and, ha ha, I didn't that about Alice Faye either.

Didn't know that. It just didn't look like Paulette at the side profile.

Oops! I figured it out last minute. I was going to delete my post. As you can tell, I'm new here. Sorry.

    Not on DVD...

The only movies I can think of off the top of my head are most of the WHEELER AND WOOLSEY movies. I have found a lot of them on eBay already, but I've never seen a copy of SO THIS IS AFRICA on DVD _or_ VHS; which is, by my understanding from my group on facebook, a _very_ important movie in their career. But, oh well, I guess that's what happens when actors when they are forgotten by the public.

I agree with you on that one.

Ah, man, I know the feeling. I tried recording one of "The Bowery Boys" movies on TCM one day, and found out very quickly it's never a good idea to record on a rainy day. Maybe you could suggest the movie here on TCM.com, under "Suggest A Movie".
