  1. There are 3 of us. If I had a choice, I'd say serenity. And thanks, yes, we'll keep looking for changes!
  2. By the time I figured out how to register my activities, the cabanas were all booked! If you're one of the luckies who got one, and don't have a full cabana, one of my friends and I are looking to join you!

TCM FF And Citibank Pass Purchases

Bought my ticket a little while ago. Lots of my Classic friends have bought them as well. Didn't even know about the collectible (hope it's an RO signed poster). A preview party with Ben - SueSue you know how I feel about that. See you soon, Dawn

    2013 Festival pass prices

I am very thankful for all the perks the festival provides me as a fan of classic films - the parties, the stars, the discussions and interviews are a dream come true. All the points presented here to account for the price increases are spot on. But, as a meeting planner, I know that when a hotel is sold out, with most of the guest rooms going to festival attendees, the hotel's food and beverage income rises exponentially. In return, it is practically a standard that the meeting rooms come at a great discount - if not gratis. Yes, the costs for the theaters are a large nut, and Grauman's has new ownership who may have raised the ante - but TCM also added another pass level. Raising the Spotlight cost by almost 35% in one shot, is quite a shock. I appreciate the message boards and the opportunity to share ideas. See you all in April, Dawn

    THANK YOU TCM

This past week went way too quickly. We started talking about it at the end of last year's festival and then 1-2-3 - we were at the closing night party. Thank you TCM for sharing our love for the classics. As a lifetime fan of cinema, the opportunity to see these films on the big screen and connect with like-minded people is simply mah-velous. I splurged for a Spotlight pass this year and it ehightened my experience esponentially from last year's Essentisal pass. Meeting Robert Osborne and Ben Mankiewicz up close and personal was the icing on my cake. Robert and Ben - your graciousness (is that a word?) and generosity are greatly appreciated. My fellow cinephiles - thank you for sharing your enthusiasm. I learned so much from everyone. I walked away from this festival with a greater understanding of film noir and will spend the near future watching more of it. See you all next year Dawn Edited by: Dawn7 on Apr 17, 2012 9:50 AM - um heightened/exponentially

    Road To Hollywood Exclusions!

I put in another vote for a DC Stop next year! VDOVault - you can stay with me overnight so you don't have to make the 2 hour trip until the morning! See y'all next week - Dawn
  7. Dear TCMFF Organizers - We understood when we had to wait for the Cruise to come and go before we started to get updates on the 2012 TCM Classic Film Festival. We were excited by the announcememt of the ticket sales, the opening night pic, the theme. We are slowly getting used to the idea of films from the 70's getting into the line up Those of us who have been know we are going to have a great time - and clearly there are many newbies on board - ticket sales have been going so quickly. So - why no news since November? Updates please! 83 days to go... Dawn Edited by: Dawn7 on Jan 16, 2012 9:21 AM
  8. Excited for the passes but what about the films - not even knowing the opening night event yet is kind of disappointing!

    In Search of Devon..

I met Devon (from Connecticut) at the pool, she was related to a TCM Talent Coordinator. We ran into each other a couple of times over the four days of the festival though I never got her contact info. Perhaps a TCM staffer can let her know I would like to keep in touch. Not a stalker.
