  1. Suggestions for a Genevieve Bujold film night: King Of Hearts Anne Of A Thousands Days Coma Choose Me
  2. I found another Genevieve Boujold film on cable. Disappearances will be on Sunday night from 12:45 AM to 2:30 AM, (actually Monday Morning) on the MPLEX Network, (EDT.) I saw this film a few years ago and her part is kind of small. The movie is kind of trippy and stars her Trouble In Mind co star Kris Kristofferson, and also Charlie McDermott, (who plays the A**hole oldest son on the Middle.)
  3. For those curious Another Man Another Chance will be on THIS Thursday April 10 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, (EDT). It's a 132 minute movies shown in a 150 minutes times slot so some editing will probably be involved, (THIS is not TCM)
  4. If it is who I think it is, (James Caan) his show just got cancelled by ABC, (Playing The Game.) Maybe that's solace enough.
  5. Michael Crichton was really tall.

    Weird name for an actor!

In the 80's there was a actress named Tuesday Knight, (she was in a couple of the Nightmare On Elm Street Movies.)
  7. In the last fifteen years Genevieve Bujold has small parts in two very good films: Sex And A Girl, and Last Night. These are worth seeking out. I think her best work was Choose Me.
  8. Did you seen the AMC remake about a year and a half ago? It featured James Woods, Richard Dreyfuss, and Lauren Ambrose, (Six Feet Under) in the Genevieve role.

    Babette's Feast

I just got around to watching Babette's Feast, which was on TCM about two months ago. I got a question; About what time period does this film take place? My guess is between 1870 and 1915. Babette speaks of a revolution in France but I don't know when it took place, probally after Napoleon III.
  11. She was almost Captain Janeway on Star Trek Voyager. She was hired for the role but after the first day of shooting the producer realized they need someone else. They then brought in Kate Mulgrew. The same thing happened on Firefly. Rebecca Gayeheart was originally cast as Inarra but it didn't work out after the first day of shooting. In came Moreena Baccarin, (who was reciently nominated for an Emmy for Homeland.) Edited by: sfpcc2 on Mar 29, 2014 1:54 AM

    Motown and the Movies

Last year a documentary was released called Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me. It was about the great lost 70's band Big Star. They weren't a soul band, but were from Memphis and signed to Ardent which a subsidiary of Stax. only managed to get out three records, but they have a huge influence over a lot of music. I recommend this film highly.

    Motown and the Movies

In the 80's Motown made a film called the Last Dragon with former Prince "associate" Vanity, (formerly of Vanity 6, her singing wasn't really all there.) I haven't seen it. I know Berry Gordy is still with us but I don't know if Motown is still a going concern, (in 2014 the music industry is very different and record companies are close to being irrelevelent.)
