THE IN-LAWS (1979) Alan Arkin can play any type of role, but as Sheldon Kornpett, D.D.S., he's the dentist in a million. I love this film and have seen it more times than I can count, but watching Alan Arkin is pure joy. THE PALEFACE - Bob Hope as "Painless" Peter Potter is terrific. MARATHON MAN - Laurence Olivier as Nazi war criminal Christian Szell is definitely the "dentist" I would not choose to pull my teeth.
