"The City of the Dead/Horror Hotel" 1960 Video Movie Review - Witches Everywhere!

Doing it like this makes it more specific. People can see the title of the movie, and click on it if they wish to. Did you even watch the review or any of my other reviews? Or are you just concerned where and how I post? I put a lot of time and work into making these. I already have a thread that has all my reviews in one place. This is just another place where I can post just in case people don't see my main thread. If you had watched the review, I feel like you would have said something about the movie like other people do...not focus on criticizing how I posted it. I'm here to talk about movies.
  2. Finally! I review one of the Roger Corman Edgar Allen Poe movies...I decided to start out with the first of eight that he would do..."House of Usher" or "The Fall of the House of Usher." I was a bit disappointed, but I'm definitely glad I saw it. I think my expectations were a little high! Enjoy the review! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel, I'm growing, and it's awesome talking to my viewers!

    Ian Patrick's Movie Reviews/Recommendations

I recently watched a super freaky witch movie, so if witches scare you, then this is the perfect movie for you. If you're a fan of the show "Salem," then this movie is perfect for you, too. "Horror Hotel" aka "The City of the Dead" stars Christopher Lee and came out in 1960. Shows the darkest side of witchcraft in a small village in New England. A great Halloween watch! My review:

  6. Every so often, I find a movie that really inspires me to continue watching classics; Portrait of Jennie is definitely one of those! It definitely has all that movie magic that we all love here on this website. My review on it is below, please subscribe to me on YouTube if you're enjoying these! I know that our opinions will not always be the same, but I see my YouTube channel as a personal diary. No one is every truly "right" about judging how good a movie is, but it is nice to have discussions on them! The review: Thanks for all the feedback! ~ Ian Patrick ~

  10. Back from a short break! Here is my review of "The Black Castle," with Boris Karloff and Richard Greene. It wasn't exactly scary, but it was a good period horror film! Halloween is coming up everyone, so try to fit in as many scary movies as you can! Be sure to give a like to the video or follow my channel on YouTube if you like the reviews!

One of my "Big 3" supernatural movies that everyone should watch at Halloween time! This movie is one of the best supernatural movies out there. A must watch, guys! Note the Ouija board scene! I want to correct myself in the video...the first appearance of the Ouija board in film history was "Koko" the Clown...not "Koke" the clown haha as I say in the video. Enjoy the review!

"The Black Castle" 1952 Video Movie Review - A Good Period Horror Flick!

Good question...it's also hard to answer it because we've been sooo exposed to truly frightening films that have come out over the years. Perhaps they were super scared watching "The Black Castle" haha! Hard to tell...this movie was a fun watch, though.
  14. Tonight's review is the first horror movie to ever win an Oscar! Fredric March was seriously incredible in the transformation scenes of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." He was literally a different person when he was Mr. Hyde. This movie will certainly be a must watch every October from now on! You gotta see it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the review! Yea...Edward G. Robinson was a little TOO attached to his adopted daughter!

"The Red House" 1947 Video Movie Review - Don't go into those woods!!!

I totally agree! I have it on DVD that came in one of those sets with several other classics, and the quality is pretty bad. It would be awesome to see it restored. It would make it so much more enjoyable to watch.

"The Red House" 1947 Video Movie Review - Don't go into those woods!!!

I've never seen that Edward G. Robinson movie, sounds interesting. I'm definitely working on not giving too much away in my reviews. I don't give a star rating in my horror movies...however, if you're curious what I gave the movie in my personal notebook I gave it a 2 1/2 LOL I knew you wouldn't like that! It may have been because I watched it late one night when I was really sleepy. I'd probably give it a 3 now.

My Take on "Nightmare Alley" Movie Review

I recently watched this classic noir film. I know it usually has high reviews, but I considered it to be pretty average. My Review on YouTube: Post your thoughts here or in the comments sections on YouTube! ~ Ian Patrick ~

Ian Patrick's Halloween Special - Spooky Reviews & Recommendations

Tonight's spooky review is one that TopBilled and I both decided to watch and review! "The Red House" is a must watch around Halloween time. If the woods scare you, then this movie will give you goosebumps! I forgot to mention in the review how great the score by Miklos Rozsa is! I also want to mention that not many people have checked out my "Carnival of Souls" review...you don't need to watch the review, but please see that movie! It was so well done and super creepy! Remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel, and you'll always know when my reviews come out! Also, leave comments because I love interacting with my viewers!

    TopBilled's latest pick

Oh man, I forgot to mention this, too in my review! I even had it written down to say lol. I seriously don't think there is a single movie in which Miklos Rozsa doesn't have a bad score! My review will be up in a few minutes :3

"Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" 1931 Video Movie Review - Fredric March was Incredible!

You aren't going off track at all! Everything is relevant here! I hope you enjoyed my review of the movie. I mentioned that John Barrymore was originally asked to be in the 1931 film, but due to contract issues, he was unable to be Dr. Jekyll. I love silent movies...it just takes a certain mood for me to watch them. I watch "Nosferatu" about once a year! Maybe I will do a review on it at some point. I love watching the old Chaplin and Keaton movies. Harold Lloyd is another one I really like.
