    Can't remember the title

Thanks so much. I didn't see your post before my friend called back to say he'd found it. I told him the TCM fans were really good !!!

    Can't remember the title

Never mind It's "Light in the Piazza".
  3. A friend of mind has mentioned a movie that he and his wife saw some years ago. neither of us can remember the title, and she would like to see it again. A mother, father and slow or simple minded daughter are on vacation, most likely in Italy. The daughter meets and falls in love with a boy, but her father disapproves. The boy's family is offended by this. The father returns home leaving the mother and daughter there. The mother eventually leaves, either giving her approval, or leaving the couple to their own devices. My friend's wife thought Spencer Tracy might have been in it, but that is by no means certain. The movie is B&W but I don't have a possible range of dates. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

    Problems with the Upgrade

Not a debate (yet ), but a request for clarification. You mentioned needing four schedules. Are you suggesting four seperate schedules that would have to be searched individually? For example, would I have to search for the schedule for the central time zone, or as it is now, one schedule, with the time zone being changable?

    Problems with the Upgrade

I happened to be at work last weekend when I printed the schedule out. I printed to the big Xerox copier/printer/fax in our office so I could print on both sides. I got 27 pages for May, 25 for June, and 26 for July. I printed straight from the page, and nothing was cut off. I have absolutely no problem with the broadcast day starting at 5:00am for the Central time zone because it at has always been that way, with the "old TCM schedule" and even before TCM existed. I just need to pay attention when I set my VCR.

Sure is. I didn't think it was that easy! Your thread. ps I'm 'watching' the thread, but I didn't get a reply notice in my email.

    Problems with the Upgrade

Better. At least I can get the schedule in the central time zone now. I haven't tried printing it out yet so I hope thatworks too. Now if I can just keep from getting bounced back to the main page when I post on the forums. My computer is slow enough as it is.

    Problems with the Upgrade

I, too, live outside the magical EDT. My computations are not quite so drastic, though. I only have to figure one hour. That being said, I didn't used to have to figure it at all. C'mon TCM, and get this straightened out. I like the Golden Age of musicals, but I'm not a dancer myself. Don't make me haev to dance like Ann Miller to get the information I need and want!

You know you are addicted to TCM if...

I have around 125-150 DVDs that have an average of 3 movies each. My kids know more than Bette Davis. When they had the 100th anniversary I think it was, with all the movie clips flashing past, I could name almost all of them. I have a friend that I visit a few days every couple of months or so. He doesn't have TCM. I have 2 VCR/DVD burners so I have enough time to get all the movies I'll miss. Edited by: moreta41 on Apr 24, 2011 10:00 PM

Pardon me for barging right in... Little Women? Edited by: moreta41 on Apr 23, 2011 11:05 PM
  15. Here's my vote. I didn't use the old website a lot, mainly for the schedules, and a little research, but I was shocked when I popped on to get my next three months worth and, zipzing zowie, nothing was the same. Change is not always bad, but change merely for the sake of change is. There was really no reason that I can tell to make such drastic changes to the website. Please put it back. Maybe if we send lots of letters and emails to Robert Osborn...
