Story point in "Au Revoir Les Enfants" question

They were the ones that were okay/ weren't Jewish. They were lining up the Catholics first to find the ones who were hiding. Also I agree it is a great film.

    Future of Democratic Party?

The part that gets me is the "What they know is what they see in the movies or what they read in the briefings" as if morons like AOC and Cherokee Chief Warren are better experts on these things.

    Tommy Lee Jones

I've come across many foreign films that don't have any information on their IMDB page (just the title) or they don't even have an IMDB page at all. Wikipedia is better sometimes. For example, Wikipedia has a relatively informative page for "The Shore of Salvation" while IMDB's page is virtually blank.

Why is Latin worth learning and using?

In the video, he mentions how it used to be that students would learn Latin alongside say, English or French. It wasn't that they learned it later on but that they were learning alongside their home language. It was like having two first languages in a way. It's also easy to learn many languages that derive from Latin roots.

The actual doctor who checked Warmbier said he wasn't tortured. Courtesy of NY Post. https://nypost.com/2017/09/26/coroners-report-for-otto-warmbier-shows-no-signs-of-torture/ A coroner’s report on Otto Warmbier showed no obvious signs of torture despite specific allegations made by the Ohio college student’s family, a report said Tuesday. The examination from the the Hamilton County coroner showed that Warmbier had a collection of “small scars” on his body, but nothing too severe, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The examiner also said — despite a gruesome description of Otto’s teeth from Warmbier’s father — that the dental examination was normal. “The teeth are natural and in good repair,” the report said, according to the Enquirer.

The ending to this one is really brutal for a 1930s film. Good film. Edit: Just glanced at it and whoops, thought it was the Karloff film. The 41 film is good too though. Very enjoyable.

    Trump's Biggest Whoppers

Trump is easily the dumbest and most illiterate president yet. Reminds me of when he was giving this speech at a rally and started rambling like Homer Simpson about how smart he was.
