Reading, writing, just began writing a blog after being bugged about it, (LOL) and films of course! Prefer silents, westerns, suspense, historicals. Also I am a historian, and a genealogist, any form of history! NASCAR, and the Chicago Cubs.
  1. I agree with Waltz and Inglorious Basterds.

    Favorite Line from Movie

John "Doc" Holliday in Tombstone: "I'm Your Huckleberry." "You're a Daisy if you do."

    Off Topic: Favorite Music?

He was one of my favorites too. That was a sad day for me.

    Off Topic: Favorite Music?

I'm sort of an odd duck. I can go from classical to heavy metal. With bluegrass, swing, 60's, 70's and 80's in between, add in the Stones, Clapton, the Bee Gees, and then I'll swing wildly to today's music to Imagine Dragons, I love the Darkness, some Kaleo, then back to Queen, Aerosmith, then I'll be listening to old country like Hank Williams, Sr. the next day. I can't be pinned down. I may be listening to 80's new wave tomorrow, or Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. I used to have a record collection of over 10,000. So who knows?

    Top favorite Westerns

Anything I get Attenborough in I like.

    Top favorite Westerns

Night of the Hunter is one of my all-time favorites, actually.

    Top favorite Westerns

I never thought of him that way actually. I looked at him as an actor, and the movies as escapism, and as excellent Westerns. Liberty Valance would have been in my 7's or 8's, actually.

    Top favorite Westerns

I am probably the new kid at this point. I am really hard at pinning down a 10. I will put my 10's. Rio Bravo(1959) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid(1969) Tombstone(1993) Big Jake(1971) True Grit(1969) Stagecoach(1939) My 9's Five Card Stud(1968) El Dorado(1966) Rio Lobo(1970) High Plains Drifter(1973) North to Alaska(1960) The Undefeated(1969) I'm heavy on John Wayne, but I was raised on him.

    "Salem's Lot" (1979)

This is the best version. TNT's newer version is not as good.

    THE BROOD (1979)

I haven't seen it since it came out. I thought it was one of the better than average pictures of the genre that came out in the 70's. Art Hindle's reactions I recall were especially good. I wasn't yet 15 when it came out, but I still liked it. Would love to see it again.

    "Ghost Story" (1981)

I agree. The movie is not very good. They completely missed with this movie. They left out one character from the book. Lewis. It has holes not explained. I loved the book so much I've read it probably 15 times or more. But the movie, it does nothing for me, even though I love how it was cast except for Wasson. I didn't like the direction either. Definitely needs redone.

    First silent film crush

    Chaplin. Then George O'Brien.
