    "Turn" (2014)

New TV series on AMC titled "Turn": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn_%28TV_series%29 Amusing bit of info. for Americans is that the dastardly character John Graves Simcoe: http://www.amctv.com/shows/turn/cast/john-graves-simcoe is actually regarded as a hero in Canada: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Graves_Simcoe Toronto has an annual holiday in August named after him, Simcoe Day: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/simcoe-day-canada-s-roots-in-slavery-and-the-historic-abolition-1.1303678 Anyway, I haven't watched the new TV series but read about it in an Ontario paper called Metro News in which an article describes the Simcoe character as "slithery Redcoat Capt. Simcoe, who viewers will love hating from his boots to his powdery wig": http://metronews.ca/scene/992384/new-amc-drama-turn-a-revolutionary-war-spy-ring/ Funny, eh? To Americans, a villain, but to Canadians, a hero... And the reasons why he is well-regarded in Canada are covered in the Wiki and CBC articles above that portray the real Simcoe as anything but "slithery" or villainous. See the statue of Simcoe in Queen's Park in Toronto here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:John_Graves_Simcoe_statue_at_Queens_Park.jpg And unveiling of the statue in Toronto in 1903: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Unveiling_of_General_John_Graves_Simcoe_monument.jpg
