  1. In the wake of the mass murders of black churchgoers in South Carolina, New Orleans has decided to tear down several Confederate monuments, which have historically been rallying points for the Ku Klux Klan and the concept of white supremacy. Source: NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt
  2. Last night at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University the Trump campaign and the Clinton campaign met in a public university seminar to discuss the last presidential campaign, a long-standing tradition. In a postmortem discussion, which is usually a polite and civilized reflection, the 2016 seminar became an all-out shouting match and war between Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager and Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton's director of communications. Palmieri accused Conway of running a Campaign which was a platform for white supremacy. Conway retorted that Clinton lost because she couldn't connect with the voters and she had no economic message. The Clinton team pushed that Trump has no mandate because Clinton won the popular vote hands down. While the Trump team reiterated that the popular vote was meaningless because Trump had won the electorial college, thus, winning the election. The post-election seminar seemed more like a presidential political debate than an intellectual discussion or observation of the 2016 Presidential Campaign.
