  1. Hi Everyone Agatha here... so I have this black and White 1930s/1940s movie that I have been trying to find for awhile now... I don’t remember much just this one scene... so there is a young lady in a long black evening dress looking in a mirror and I think she’s talking to a man who is sitting to the left, there also might be more people in the scene as well but I just really remember those two... a few more details about the scene is that when you are watching it the mirror is on the right and it also might be a three way mirror...also I’m not positive about the color of the young lady but I’m thinking blonde/light brown... let me know if you have any questions/thoughts! Thank you!!

Here we go.. its in the 1930s black and white..and this is the only scene I remember.. there’s a young lady laying on her bed and then she turns on her side where she sees her tiny brown dog and she sticks her tongue out and then the dog sticks it’s tongue out too.. and that’s it!! I hope someone can help me find this!! Thank you!!
  3. I need help remembering a movie title! It was a story about a woman judge (she had brunette hair) and it was a romantic comedy, I believe. She had a house near an ocean and there was a scene of her and the guy in a shack by the water. I think the film ends with him interrupting a case in court and they end up together. I watched this movie on TCM with my grandmother a few years ago. She recently passed and I would love to be able to find it to watch it again. I know that description was vague :/ I don't believe it was the movie with Shirley Temple as photos I've looked it doesn't seem familiar. TIA
  4. Please Help Find!

Hello all. I have been searching for a movie for a few years now, but none of my searches have been fruitful. I saw this film on the TCM chanel about eight years ago. If anyone could help me find the title of this film I would be forever grateful. The plot I remember: There's an older woman who has recently taken on a younger one to teach her. She's being taught to flirt with men and lead them on to get financial favors. Their car breaks down and a young gentleman helps to fix it up for them. Him and the younger girl hit it off, but the older lady writes him off due to the presumption he has no money. A scene I distinctly remember is of the girl sitting on a couch with a gentleman older than herself. She's playing coy and telling him that is is saving her kisses for marriage. At the end of the movie, the young man from the beginning is revealed to have money from oil. They are happy. And there is an implication of setting the older woman up with his uncle. I have scoured the Internet several times in the past three years. If you can, please help me out! Thank you.
  5. Help with film title

Hello there! I need help remembering the name of a movie I watched on TCM the week of June 11th. It was a black and white film, later 30s to mid 40s, set in England. There was a male character who arrived at a rich woman's house and ended up killing her. The subplot was there were people dying in the town, which he was responsible for. The elderly woman was in a wheel chair, but could walk. The main actor in the final act, cut telephone lines. He also flirted with the elderly woman's granddaughter. At the end of the film, he smothers her with a pillow. The lead actor had an Irish accent, and I know he went on to be a well-known actor. He had brown/black hair. I'm trying to remember this film so I can gift it to my noir-loving sister. I had it written down, but alas, I can't find the paper. Argh. Many thanks!
  6. Dogs in World War One

Okay, so I was wondering if anybody could identify a film (20 minutes, maybe half an hour in length) that I saw on TCM a few years ago. It's a black and white talkie, probably from the '20s or '30s, about dogs fighting World War One. And to be clear, I'm not talking about dogs fighting alongside humans. I'm talking about anthropomorphized dogs fighting as though they were humans, doing all the things that humans did. They walk on their hind legs through some kind of proto-stop motion, and are dubbed with human voices. It is one of the most incredible movies I've ever seen, and for the life of me I can't remember the title or find any recordings of it online.
  7. Greetings! For many years now I have been seeking the title of an old movie. I only recall one scene from it as it was a very long time ago that I had watched it. I do believe it was black & white & it felt like it was from the 60's era, not hippie crunchy 60's just that older 60's film quality cars, scenes etc. The scene, as I recall included a man, (star role), who was living/sleeping in a station wagon. He attended a party one evening, not invited (crashed it I guess I would say). Possibly there was a women he wanted to see at the party. And here's a hopefully unique part. He went in to the party wearing a Gorilla outfit. At one point I had thought the actor was Donald Sutherland, which he is not, however maybe putting a similar face on the actor helps rings someones bell? Many & Much Thanks! Have a Great Day! Scotty
  8. I am at a loss finding a movie, and so of course, I thought of you wink emoticon A man I met today was telling me a story about his older brother, Floyd C. Vaughn, losing his life when he boarded a plane AFTER serving 4 years in WWII. He was on his way home from Germany, in 1945 or 46 when his plane crashed into a mountain (maybe in Italy). The wreckage wasn't found for about a year, when a mountain climber discovered it, removed all the dog tags, and turned them in. Later a movie was made about this incident, but the brother doesn't remember the name of this B&W film. Is there any way any you can help me find this movie for this hero's brother? Thank you for you consideration in this endeavor.
  9. I will try my very best at describing her, but I can't even remember the movie name. The woman herself was blonde and sultry with a New York type accent. She was almost like a more "rough around the edges" type Marilyn Monroe if that makes any sense. The movie was black and white. She was a club singer and went to visit a man in prison who breaks out and wants her to run away with him. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me, I know its kind of vague. It's been driving me crazy for weeks and any help would be appreciated. thank you all very much for your time.
  10. My mom is looking for a black and white film she saw on TV sometime during the mid-sixties, although she thinks it's originally from around 1957. She only remembers the last scene: two old men somewhere in England are standing on a street, then one of them says something like "time to go home and light the candles," then they start walking, then there's a final scene with the camera looking in through a window at candles on a table. My mom's pretty confident that the candles they're referring to are sabbath candles. Sorry I can't give any more info, but does anyone know what this is from?
  11. Hello. I'm trying to identify a movie that I only saw the middle of on TCM at least 8 years ago. It's set either in NYC or some other large city, but I definitely got the NYC vibe from it. It follows a girl in her early 20's as she goes about her routine. It's not about big-city life, it's more about loneliness. There's very little dialogue, she lives in a tiny apartment with an old fashioned sky light that she uses a broom handle to open. The styling is very austere and stark. She wears very plain dresses in the style of 1950's house dresses with no pattern on the fabric and her hair is just straight and down. She ends up on a bridge, or on a wall, and is contemplating suicide. A blue-collar man stops her and refuses to leave her alone because he's concerned that she'll try to jump again. I guess they become friends. I didn't see the end. Can anybody help me id this movie, please? Thanks in advance to any viewers/posters out there!
