i don't think it was, but it was cheap enough to be. this was one of those movies you would see in a bar on the tv with the sound down as the juke box played. i saw this one that way, and a really bad television sequel to the exorcist with patty duke astin, i think.

suse,

LOVE monolith monsters, but that isn't it. it was difenitely a color movie from the seventies/eighties. the rocks would roll silently across the desert floor in the distance, then come to rest, then start rolling and bouncing again toward the winnebago. it was a well done creepy moment in the film.

thanks for the input.

Hi Prichard
I know this is NOT the movie you are looking for but have you ever seen "The Monolith Monsters" a b&w from 1957. The one you are looking for could be a remake of this one, don't know. Or maybe what you saw was from The Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond or I think even Star Trek did something like that. It seems there was a period when everyone was doing some crazy rock killing thing.
GOOD LUCK

anyone know the name of a sci fi movie from the 70s or 80s that has a winnebago in the middle of a desert attacked by rocks that move on their own? it was one of those low budget quickie sci fi made a couple decades back before SyFy took over that part of the film industry.
