ROARING TWENTIES RENDEZVOUS-Theme Night

Calling all flappers and dashing gents--crack open that bottle of bathtub gin, and dance the night away!

Live the glamour of the 1920s, where ladies in drop waist frocks and feather boas mingle with gentlemen in sharply cut jackets and bowties.

We're making plans for an exciting day of themed activities that will include music, dancing, contests with great prizes, and the screening of such flapper-focused films as THE ROARING TWENTIES (1939) and SOME LIKE IT HOT (1959). Participation is voluntary, of course, but you'll want to think twice before missing some of the surprises we have in store to celebrate the Jazz Age!

PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS

• A song in your heart and pep in your step! Join Debbie Reynolds for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952).
• The music continues with star Mickey Rooney at STRIKE UP THE BAND (1940).
• It's suspense on the high seas, with actor Norman Lloyd at Hitchcock's SABOTEUR (1942).
• Soar to new heights of imagination with CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG (1968) and actress Sally Ann Howes.
• Hear the Alloy Orchestra perform their original score to the science fiction masterpiece METROPOLIS (1927).
• Go behind the scenes of classic Hollywood as JOAN CRAWFORD'S HOME MOVIES are presented by grandson Casey LaLonde.
