Great photo of Steve Forrest. From his bio, he was a really decent and likable guy as well as a good actor. My favorite role of his was in Rogue Cop.

I'm still in awe of that Raymond Burr photo and that Bill Williams and he had the same birthday. At least Barbara Hale only had one date to remember.

Joan Collins wrote her autobiography- it's called Past Imperfect an Autobiography. That maybe the only place you might find out.

If you read my initial post related to Joan I wondered if she was like Merle Oberon. i.e. someone that was born in England but had a parent from India due to how she looked in this picture. Since India was a colony of England that wouldn't of been too unusual.

I did google Joan Collins and I couldn't find anything specific about her parents. I guess that photo makes her look very exotic because of her make up, how they did her hair and just how the photo was taken. i.e. to me she doesn't look like the offspring of two english parents.

What are you looking for? btw, her father was white. Why not try the Joan Collins site, you might find the info you're looking for.

Sorry but "was Jewish from South Africa" doesn't tell me anything specific about her father's ethnic background. Instead it just tells me his religion and the country he came from. One could be black and be 'Jewish from South Africa' (e.g. I have a friend that is Jewish and from West Africa and he looks very similar to Denzel Washington).

What an interesting picture of Joan Collins. I know she is British but I couldn't find anything but her ethnic background. I wonder if she was like Merle Oberon in that she had relatives from India. Of course maybe it was just how they did her make up.
