Kyle,

Thanks for all the great links. I am an old time radio fan. Without them, how would we know who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

"Kyle, I love those links to "Information, Please"! - SueSue

Cool! I am pleased someone is interested in them. Sharing the links to the radio shows were the main reason I chose to "promote" the Trivia Competition event during the Film Festival.

Definitely give a listen to the two episodes with Boris Karloff. You'll be amazed at the things he knows. What an educated man! And he pokes fun at himself and his role in "Arsenic And Old Lace" in which he was appearing on Broadway at that time.

Of the featured links, the Hitchcock episodes are the most "disappointing". He doesn't sound too interested in being there. None of his "humor" is on display. I guess he saved it all for the TV show that would come a decade later.

Definitely use this site to search out additional episodes.

"What Is The 39 Steps?"

MrMemorySteps

For all the amateur "Mr. Memory"s among the attendees, Club TCM will host a friendly movie trivia competition hosted by Bruce Goldstein, the Repertroy Programmer of New York's Film Forum. So what's the answer to the enigma "What is "The 39 Steps"?" Is it "An Alfred Hitchcock Film"? Or "An organization of international spies"? Or "A Maguffin"? Take your pick and let Mr. Goldstein sort it out.

Referenced in Woman Of The Year, there really was a semi-cerebral radio quiz program named "Information, Please". Here are a selection of episodes featuring special guests with connections to the offerings at the 2012 Classic Film Festival (and other interesting featured guests) to hone your "quizzical" thinking. Great for listening on a cross country flight.
Recording quality varies, fair to very good.

I'll try to make it to the L&H screening for you. Sadly, Dick Van Dyke is no longer able to do the introductions but it should still be a fun screening.

And Duck Soup goes a little too late into the night for me to attend. I've got to get to the screening of very rare color short films )A Trip To The Moon) early the next morning. (Mr. and Mrs. Cutter are taking in the Cinerama screening of How The West Was Won at the Cinerama Dome instead.)

One of these years, I hope to hear you are coming West for the FF yourself. Your friends out here would love to see you at the FF. We can promise you a good time.
