Well, at least there's no threat of you stalking the female stars you find most attractive, unless you like to hang out at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Fred, if you keep posting these photos, we're all going to need major credit cards to get on this site!

Easily explained, Fred. By the time the surf movies were made, vacu-forming had been invented...

No, nobody is censoring any pictures. I expected one of my make-your-own newspaper
clippings to last a few days before being automatically removed by
the clipping service, but it was removed in a few hours. I should
have copied it to a photo service and posted it that way.

the women in pre-code films.

To me, the pre-code ladies have always been more
attractive and seductive, going as far back as when I
used to see them in old movies on TV when I was a
teenager. For example, I fell in love with Marian Marsh
in Svengali, which I saw on TV when I was about 15
years old.

Where is everything going???

Wow, Lombard was always drop dead gorgeous. I gather she was very young in that photo.

I hope that doesn't disappear as well. Is someone censoring the pictures?

My computer skills are pretty average or even less than. I tried a few
different things and one finally worked. I don't even remember exactly
how it happened. Sometimes luck is more important than skill.

I believe this post is not a link to an image. It is data encoded as a url which some sites can use to reconstruct the image.

The urls which will produce an image within the post are no more than one or two lines and end with .jpg or .gif of other common image file type.

There is a funny thing that happens with TINYPIC. They save photos for a few months, then they delete them, then later they use the same old URL addresses for new photos.

Consequently, some of our old threads with photos of movie scenes, now have the wrong photos on them, such as this page:

http://forums.tcm.com/thread.jspa?threadID=134141&start=60&tstart=300

The original photos were scenes from old movies. The ones there now are someone else's photos that were posted to tinypic. :)

Ok, that's the same as mine.

It's possible that your browser is saving the original image. I usually clear out my images each day from Internet Explorer.

See this note on the home page of the clipping service:

"To download your newspaper, use the link at the bottom of the generated image. You can use the images as you wish ie. put them on your own website or blog. Please note, that direct linking to the newspaper clippings doesn't work; the images are deleted from the server after a short time span."

Here's the URL:

I was able to cut and paste the image from your post using rich text.

Right click on the image and click on PROPERTIES, and you will see a URL address.

How did you post it without a URL address?
