Fred, wow, scary info and cool pic!

I never fail to get totally sucked into D.O.A., as I did this evening. The jazz club, the street scenes...all of it.

Ginnyfan, it really is a groovy little flick. I'm digging on it right now as it's starting up. What a great way to spend a Friday evening! Yeah!

Fred, Thanks for the info and the photo. :) The Mike Nichols 90's film Wolf had scenes in the Bradbury Building. That's where Jack Nicholson's office was suppose to be. In the film Wolf, it's suppose to be NY. Each time I see Wolf I always think of DOA because of the building.

Mark, totally right on about today's TCM programming line up. :)

Just got home to the start of D.O.A., what a radically awesome flick!!! I always love this film, what a great way to enjoy my Friday evening!

Here's a real guy who died from luminous poisoning:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisoning_of_Alexander_Litvinenko
On 1 November 2006, Litvinenko suddenly fell ill and was hospitalized. He died three weeks later, becoming the first confirmed victim of lethal polonium-210-induced acute radiation syndrome.[1] According to doctors, "Litvinenko's murder represents an ominous landmark: the beginning of an era of nuclear terrorism".

Here's the Bradbury Building in downtown L.A.:

THE STRIP is a really nice movie, a real sleeper. I've seen it several times, but I'll probably check out part of it again.

Just got home to the start of D.O.A., what a radically awesome flick!!! I always love this film, what a great way to enjoy my Friday evening! And up next, THE STRIP, with The Mick, and later tonight, Bogie and Ann Sheridan in IT ALL CAME TRUE!!! Totally groovy!!!

And if I need more to watch later on, I can DVR DETOUR and OUT OF THE PAST and The Thin Man flick which aired earlier today on TCM!

If you haven't seen IT ALL CAME TRUE before, which is on later this evening, it's totally recommended!!! And there are some other totally groovy flix later on as well: MILLION DOLLAR BABY (1941) with the inimitable May Robson, and a Brown and Carney flick, ADVENTURES OF A ROOKIE (1943)!! Totally cool to see flix from the 30s and 40s in prime time!

Noir lovers, crime film lovers, drama lovers, comedy lovers? All in tonight on TCM!
