"Land Shark", LOL. I haven't seen that skit in decades! :^0

Hibi, yes, I'm all done with the Mae Murray book. It was good and thanks for the recommend! I'm now on a bio of Irving Thalberg. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to do any reading in while but this is a good book and actually, I've read it before (I found it at a used book store recently and bought it). I recommend it to others. What are you (all of you) reading these days? Any good movie books?

On the movie end, I have "Chained" from Classicflix but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Better that than to be swallowed up by "Land Shark".

Well, this isn't quite what you were referring to, but here's an older Marlon on a car, with some of his rear in sight (this is a "behind the scenes" photo from *The Godfather*):

Hahaha - okay, I'm up to the challenge, newclassic! I'll see what I can find....

(An picture of an older Marlon's rear end would be even funnier, I'll bet!)

There was a real great photo of a very young Marlon Brando getting into or out of a car - and his back was to the camera. He had a very nice view from the back. I wish I can find this photo. Can anyone find this and post it in this thread? I think it would top any photos of the rear of George Brent.

"What do you mean you're leaving me for someone with a smaller rear end?"

He isn't someone who bowls you over at first, but the more you notice him in films, the more cute you think he is. (Well, okay, maybe not you. ;) ) I love when he says in one movie, "Aw, I'm bugs about ya, baby!" (lol). He has a certain je ne sais quoi. I like his eyes. :)

Lyle Talbot isn't generally one of the first names that comes to mind when talking about early '30s sexy actors.

Hey, guess what I found on the Net? A George Brent website!

http://georgebrent.com/

The description on the homepage sez:

"Great leading man of the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's. His infectious smile and charming manner made many a movie going female's heart flutter."

Hm... Maybe they fluttered from shock when Brent had his back to the camera...

I agree that Brent wasn't hard to look at the 1930s, but... I could think of other 30s men who were much more attractive (e.g. Gable, Lyle Talbot... I can list others but my mind has gone blank right now. Must be from picturing Gable and Talbot. ]:) ) I'd take Brent over Donlevy looks-wise, but Donlevy is a much better actor!

OMG! Definitely not. Brian Donlevy, FDLMAO. George Brent was quite a hotee. But only in the 30"s. Sexy and thin. Whatch some of the movies precode with him, he smolders. As the 40's approached, he added the moustache and started to gain weight. He actually started to look like my uncle rather than the handsome devil of years before. He was Bette Davis' great love.
