AndyM108 -
From my past use of the Wayback Machine, the schedules are on found on many different pages. One needs to search the site by domain name and then use the results page to look up the archived pages which are listed by month(s) and year(s).
And in the case of TCM it can be particularly challenging because this website has used multiple domain names over the years. It has been "turnerclassicmovies.com", "turner.tcm.com" and "tcm.com, among others. Searching the Wayback Machine using each of these domains will yield different results.
So the past TCM schedules are not gathered in one, easy-to-find place at the Wayback Machine. You have to go on a treasure hunt - or scavenger hunt - to find the pages you seek.
Depending on what years you are interested in researching, there may be other websites with the information and details of TCM schedules that are easier to access than using archive.org. But, in general, finding info online about TCM in the years prior to 2000 is really difficult.

Kyle,
Thanks for the link, but could you also post the link to the actual page where you found those old TCM schedules? That would be the biggest help of all for future reference.

In pop culture, 'helenbaby' is right, the Wayback Machine was Mr. Peabody's invention for time travel
On the internet, "The Wayback Machine" is a section of the "archive.org" website set up to store copies of pages of websites.
You can access it here -
http://archive.org/web/web.php
It is a bit cumbersome and the archived/saved pages contains many broken links internally. But it is still a useful resource for historical exploration of sites and domains.

Thank you for dropping by and speaking to the issues that the channel addresses when planning a schedule change for a memorial tribute.
While I left out the need for the recording of special introductions from the explanation in this thread, it was part of my hypothesis on why the tribute to Andy Griffith was being "delayed" until July 18th, posted here -
http://forums.tcm.com/message.jspa?messageID=8656028#8656028
I appreciate you taking the time to affirm these thoughts on what TCM takes into consideration before making changes to the schedule. I know such actions aren't undertaken cavalierly.
Besides, there's another Olympics to be saluted in 2016. I'll wait. <wink>

Chief,
It was actually a combination of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine and Google that produced the best results. I was very surprised at being able to find some of the material.
His 100th birthday was just days after Memorial Day in 2003 but I couldn't find any record of a birthday salute to Hope that day/evening. Other themed programming like SOTM may have precluded TCM from having a birthday salute to Hope.
But they certainly made up for it in the months that followed.

The Wayback Machine was a time travel device used by Mr. Peabody & Sherman on the Bullwinkle show back when Lynn & I were little kids.

I think you guys have done a brilliant job with most of these tributes. The only way it could be better is if you could show clips of Ernie on the cruise with fans. I don't know what the legal rights are to that...but it would be nice to see a segment that shows what a special friend he was to TCM and its viewers.

"The Wayback Machine is a wonderful thing. TCM did have a tribute to Hope on July 31st, 2003...' - lzcutter
Well done, kiddo - especially finding an archived page from July 2003. That page would only have existed for two or three days on the TCM website. I didn't think finding that would have been possible.
I kinda had an inkling that TCM did something special at the end of the year to acknowledge the life and loss of Bob Hope but wasn't sure. Details of what ocurred ten days ago are hard to remember let alone what happened ten years ago.
I know that very little material from 2003 is part of the archives at the TCM site so I didn't think it would show up in a site search here. Glad you were able to find it at 'archive.org'.

The Wayback Machine is a wonderful thing. TCM did have a tribute to Hope on July 31st, 2003:
What is " The Wayback Machine "? Is that a website where we can view past TCM schedules, or is it just a name you give to your personal collection of Now Playing back issues?

Thank you Izcutter. So, TCM did have a tribute to Bob Hope on his passing. But I do remember they messed up on one of the two and seeing how they did do the death tribute, It had to be his 100th birthday that they ignored. I remember I was upset about one, but couldn't remember which one.
Now we can get back to Ernest Borgnine.

Chief,
The Wayback Machine is a wonderful thing. TCM did have a tribute to Hope on July 31st, 2003:
Films included (all times EST)
11AM The Road To Hong Kong (1962)
1PM A Global Affair (1964)
2:30PM Call Me Bwana (1963)
4:15PM I'll Take Sweden (1965)
6:00PM Bachelor In Paradise (1961)
In December of 2003, TCM offered a longer tribute to Hope with this roster of films:
My Favorite Blonde (1942)
My Favorite Brunette (1947)
Princess and the Pirate (1944)
Road to Bali (1952)
Road to Morocco (1942)
Road to Singapore (1940)
Road to Utopia, The (1946)
Road to Zanzibar (1941)
The Facts of Life (1960)
The Princess and the Pirate (1944)
They Got Me Covered (1943)
He was also included in the year-end TCM Remembers montage that included Gregory Peck and Katherine Hepburn along with a number of classic stars, directors, writers and other crew personnel.
In August 2004, Hope was honored with his first SUTS day featuring 24 hours of Hope and his movies.
Anyone wondering AMC had the leases on the following Bob Hope movies tied up for their own tribute on July 30th:
7:10AM Bob Hope:The Road To The Top (1998)
8:10AM How To Commit Marriage (1969)
10:05AM Paris Holiday (1958)
12:15AM Road To Bali (1952)
2:10PM The Seven Little Foys (1955)
4:05PM Son of Paleface (1952)
6:05PM The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farell (1968)
Lastly, there's nothing in the message board archives that indicates any outrage or disappointment in the TCM tributes to Bob Hope.

Bob Hope turned 100 in May 2003. I have no recollection if TCM saluted that achievement during that month or not.
Hope passed away on July 27th, 2003. That was only three days before the start of the inaugural edition of "Summer Under The Stars". SUTS is one of the events that TCM will not preempt or alter to honor the recent passing of an actor.
It is possible TCM set aside an evening at the end of the year to acknowledge the passing of Bob Hope. But I am not certain.

ps - TCM never had 100 years to prepare a Bob Hope birthday tribute. The channel was only nine years old in 2003.

Not to distract anyone from their thoughts of Ernest Borgnine, but does anyone remember what TCM did when Bob Hope turned 100? (And they had 100 years to prepare for his 100th birthday). Also along those same lines, what did they do for his passing? If anyone remembers, I'd enjoy hearing. I know they botched at least one of those events (or maybe both), but can't recall the exact details.
