See, those films don't count as "worst" for me because they're so bad that I get a certain perverse enjoyment out of them. They're funny.

But FRIGHT was just really awful. I couldn't laugh. Nothing. I even imagined that I might find it enjoyable if I was really loaded but then thought I'd save the single malt for a better occasion.

The World Moves On (1934)

I have nothing but contempt for this film. It is everything wrong and naive about the post-WWI movies (and the western attitude about WWI) rolled into one excruciating package, made even worse because it is a prime exampke of what at that time was "GREAT FILM" Oscar bait. The worst film to bear John Ford's name (one of my favorite Fords, the infinitely superior Judge Priest, came out the very same year.)

Michael and Harry Medved's 50 Worst movies of all times happens to include Ivan the Terrible and Last Year in Marienbad which is enough to show that they're idiots. Nor are Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garcia or Zabriskie Point anything like the 50 worst movies. Of the obviously less defensible movies on their last, I've never seen Dondi or Plan 9 From Outer Space. The last half hour of Parnell I caught was not brilliant, but certainly not atrocious either. I did see Terror of tiny Town on TCM. You might think that a musical western filled entirely with midgets would be in very poor taste, but it is in fact an astonishingly dull and uninteresting film.

Just tonight, the last Georges Milies film "Conquest of the Pole" (1912). Why in the world did he made those aircraft so bizarre and outlandish? Airplanes had their basic features already worked out and there was that little invention called the newspaper.

If this film was made in 1900, those conceptions would have been understood by a sci-fi point of view but 1912?

I did like his foresight of the flying saucer (literally) and cigar shape craft - modern UFO's LOL!

To show how out of touch this movie is, here is a photo of an aircraft lauched off a ship in 1912.

Well, I haven't seen more than three minutes of either film, so I can't intelligently dispute the point with you.

Just think of the time that you saved. ;)

It's faint praise, but I think that BERSERK was a much worse film than TROG.

Completely disagree.
Same here. It's considered to be the best of the killer Santa movies. This IMDB review also explains something people don't understand about that ending:

"I know there's a lot of people writing that Santa's van magically flies away at the end...well..I don't think that was intended to be taken literally. It's what poor crazy Harry is seeing in his delusional head. In real life, the van hit the bottom of a very long fall and Santa, no doubt, was dead. Do they actually have to show the van crashing to get that idea across?"

Hey, that's a fun film! How can you not like Joan Crawford stomping her foot, smacking her hands together, and yelling at the caveman "TROG! MIND ME!! TROG!" :^0

It's 200 Motels (with Frank Zappa, but I've never seen it), and Putney Swope (very odd film directed by Robert Downey's father).

I'm not sure, but I think "THE CREEPING TERROR" (1964) has been shown on TCM.

(...and people, THAT ONE makes "PLAN 9" look like "CITIZEN freakin' KANE"!!!)

Zaat! (1975) has been shown twice.
