"Shaking the Blues Away" -- Easter Parade (1948). Originally sung by Ruth Etting in Ziegfeld Follies of 1927. I prefer the original version to Ann Miller's later performance in the film, but of course the original lyrics can't be used anymore.

Next: Song by Dorothy Fields and Jimmy McHugh

My first thought was of Roy Rogers singing "Skyball Paint" on stage on the MUPPET SHOW (a song originally from SHERIFF OF TOMBSTONE) which is one of my favorite musical numbers in any movie or tv show--for some reason, it makes me really happy:

.......but since people don't like it when I use TV examples, I'll go with "Time's a-Wastin'" sung on stage in WALK THE LINE
