In the auto loan marketplace, pricing isn't transparent so it's easy for dealers to take advantage of unwitting consumers.

"African-Americans and Hispanics in particular — have systematically been charged a higher markup on auto loans than White borrowers,"

Well at least this article has the guts to openly admit that African-Americans and Hispanics in particular are unwitting consumers.

Isn't one basic concept of capitalism that any 'mark-up' is fair by default as long as it is openly disclosed?

It is up to the consumer to be informed.

In addition generally people that accept a higher 'mark-up' do so because their options are limited (e.g. they have bad credit),  or are greedy (e.g. they want a car, or phone,  that is out of their price range based on what they earn).

Sorry, can't feel sorry for these folks.

Oh, an any sound business person would try to make a larger profit on ALL 'unwitting consumers' not only those of a certain race.   Therefor to imply these consumers are being targeted because of their race is folly and total nonsense.

Sure. Rodney Dangerfield was funny, but not particularly colorful....Carmen Miranda was colorful but not particularly funny

Oh...you meant "colorful" like a peacock or a rainbow.

Umm.....okay.

Not sure how to use colors of type-face on the message board.

Miranda would be both, a rainbow and a vibrant personality. Orson Welles

was pretty colorful, but not exactly a laff riot. LivinColour

A Short History of Threats Received by Donald Trump’s Opponents

The pattern goes beyond Stormy Daniels.

As it happens, other people in disputes with Trump have also found themselves the targets of threats — and sometimes they’ve reported it to authorities.

*Michael Cohen reminds me of Al Capone's Enforcer Frank Nitti.

Believe it or not, Nitti's demise was even more tragic than Capone's own last days.
