The Obstruction Case Against Trump that Barr Tried to Hide

Even with redactions, Mueller’s report is clear

Trump undermined the Russia investigation.

".....Mueller’s report detailed extraordinary efforts by Trump to abuse his power as president to undermine Mueller’s investigation. The case is so detailed that it is hard to escape the conclusion that Mueller could have indicted and convicted Trump for obstruction of justice—if he were permitted to do so. And the reason he is not permitted to do so is very clear: Department of Justice policy prohibits the indictment of a sitting president.

Mueller still could have reached a conclusion regarding obstruction of justice, but he believed it would be unfair to reach a conclusion that Trump could not rebut in court. How do we know this? Because Mueller says it.......

(Barr's) letter, which did not contain a single full sentence written by Mueller’s team, contained none of Mueller’s reasoning,

nor his rejection of all of the defenses raised by Trump’s lawyers to obstruction of justice. .....

Mueller concluded that Congress has the authority to remove Trump from office, noting that

his “conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President's corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law.”

Mueller appears to believe that it is the role of Congress to ensure Trump is not above the law. .....

A president who is so incompetent and so out of control that his personally appointed aides and staff ignore his orders.

The United States can and must do better.

Problem with the story is you're not sure if you can believe the other White House aides. Are they lying when they say they're worried? Were they under oath at the time?

Quite the Hogan Gidley line to @anniekarni & @maggieNYT re: Sarah Sanders' FBI agents fabrication: “The White House staff will never be lectured on truth-telling from the media that pushed a flat-out lie about Donald Trump for two years."

Remember when there was a passionate debate about whether the press should use the word “lie” to describe the lies coming out of this administration? Seems so quaint and long ago.

The White House has become the pantheon of liars.

President Trump can't stand when he's portrayed as being managed by his staff. But the Mueller report laid out in cinematic detail how they subverted his efforts to limit the investigation. Mueller may be over, but this still goes on inside the West Wing.

Forget all the best-selling trump Oval Office Insiders tell-alls--

This Mueller Report is the real deal as told by the White House West Wing staffers under oath.

Under oath, I think that bears repeating.

( Haldeman/ Ehrlichman must have been on their minds as they walked in the door to meet the Mueller investigators.)

Now we can all see why trump didn't want them taking notes. LOL

mueller takes 2 years to not find evidence of obstruction and then encourages the dems to keep investigating...

Who is that?

Lara Parker

She and Jonathan Frid were in my favorite show when I was a teenager. I used to try and Skip afternoons to see it.

" Dark Shadows " takes me all the way back.

But she's an actress not anything else. LOL

despite the intensity of her jealousy she was kinda sweet because the viewers knew that deep down she just couldn't help being forever sweet on Barnabas.

she was a woman who never gave up.
